Another new addition!

You caught me. Those 2 bolts are giving me the edge I need!

You should get rid of the bolt on the bottom of the coil. That's a nice little weight reduction as well. Mine never had it, and from what I understand, I'm better off that way.

I'm 99% sure that when I did my heater core hoses, that bolt came off and never went back in. And it wasn't for a lack of trying either.

I hope to yes. People look at me when I wear "any" kit here. I believe ManU will take it to them but it should be a tough match. I am curious if John Terry will be back after the arm injury against Bolton. Both teams are stacked but I still have to sway in ManU's favor. Petr Cech is a badass and Shevchenko is a hell of a footballer even as a substitute, after scoring the only goal against Bolton I wouldn't be surprised if he he was back in the starting rotation. Other than that they have the Coles, Drogba, Lampard, and Obi, all good players but not at the top of lists. ManU on the other hand of course has C.Ronaldo, Tevez, my boy Rooney, Giggs, Nani, and Van Der Sar (which is the best keeper they have had since Schmeichel). Should be exciting!

Off topic! Get that s*** out of here! Where are the moderators...?

I've got a new thermostat in hand. Probably not going to happen until after the Doublecross, though. Not a lot of free time between now and Monday.

Scott...I'll be rooting for them also...get to dust off the jerseys...as a matter of fact...I'm wearing 1 now.
:p

.BOT.

Ok, so after replacing the thermostat, checking numerous hoses for clogs, and flushing the coolant, I'm still overheating. The only things left to do are the radiator and the water pump, or replace the thermostat with an OEM one. Miata.net seems to hate aftermarket thermostats with a passion. Apparently the OEM one has two valves, and the aftermarket ones have only one. (dunno)

hows the radiator cap?

Dunno, but it looks pretty new. I suppose I can replace it to eliminate it as a possibility, since it's like $7.

ok just wondering the radiator could be either clogged internally or could not be getting enough air flow

Yeah, that or the water pump is pretty much what I'm down to. Steve and I flushed the radiator today. The only thing really blocking the airflow is the AC condensor. That's going to go soon, but I'd like to keep it through the summer if possible, because I'm going to drive it a bit to save gas and miles on the Jeep.

A bit of good news: Today I was bored enough to go out to the garage and jack up the back end of the car and see if I had a viscous LSD. Turned the driveshaft by hand and both wheels turned in the same direction.

I have a VLSD!

Convertible = nature's air conditioning.

An open diff will spin both wheels if neither is loaded. Check to see if the stub shaft flanges are different. That'll be the key to recognizing a VLSD.
