What have you done to your P5 today?

children, this is not the what have you done to your house thread.

today, i didnt drive mine to work again. but i did drive it to the gym and will drive it to frisbee golf after work :)
 
Dang Jeff. That's almost exactly half of what I bought my P5 for. Here's to hoping she continues to treat you well.
 
^I think it's for insurance reasons. I had to pay cash for my house because of the law. On the other hand, that's why I got a 4 bed 2 bath house for 70k. Hopefully I can do all the HVAC work and finish the project for 3-5k and sell the house for around 120k

On another note, the MSP stock GT2554R, does it require a restrictor for the oil feed?

Not a bad deal then if you can flip it for that kind of profit.

Damn....now I want to go sit in the corner and cry. haha Bought mine in Jan of 2006 for $8900 with 67K.
 
Got mine, with much rust and engine issues, for 4k with 86k on it. Tires are bald and I am in desperate need of motor mounts, front pass wheel bearing, and new coils. Thats where my paychecks going this summer! (and to bodywork)

youll prob have your p5 longer than ill have mine, so when i get rid of it (maybe next year) you get first pick on parts from it, like the header and the retrofit if you want it.

gotta wash mine up on thursday for the hill climb but i have a feeling we will be getting so much rain that it wont even matter! :(

yup. my gf and i will meet you guys.... somewhere... ill be staying in VT like i mentioned and then driving to the mountain saturday morning.
 
Worked on some parts last night. FMIC and MSP heat shield are coated in matte black ceramic exhaust paint. I began cleaning on my turbo and surround parts. Turbo heat shield and water lines are being polished. Here are a few pics in the middle of the process

Dropped the car off at the mechanic this morning to get the rmm changed out... figured it would have to be shot with almost 150,000 miles on it. Picked it up after work, wouldn't you know, the damn thing is pretty good shape, no rips or anything. Oh well, one less thing I will have to worry about in the future.

You guys look out for a thread here shortly...have a lot of parts about to be up for sale...some good ones at that...picking up a Miata and trying to clear some inventory!!!
 
^^^^Ooooooooo, by any chance you have an aftermarket header laying around? Figured I'd ask since you have just about everything to assemble a car. lol

Thanks again for your help/advice a while ago as well. If you haven't read, I sourced a used engine from a local salvage yard and mechanic got her swapped for me.

No header yet, but am going to be doing a large group buy on true 4-2-1 header soon for 1.5/1.6/1.8 and 2.0 guys!!!

WANT!!! I was having a converstaion just an hour or so ago with the guy in the fabrication lab at work about fixing the EGR bung on a MX6/626 4-2-1 header. While it wouldn't help me to learn to weld (which I still want to learn), it'll be a LOT easier on me. lol

Same header I have been considering but do I drop the coin at Racing Mazda for an already modified one or pick up a cheap one off of ebay and try to find a shop who I feel comfortable with doing the modification?
 
Im also interested in 4-2-1 headers, this is good news because I was going to order OBX soon, i can wait though because I wont be installing until I get a hi-flow cat
