I use Fram TG filter....never had a problem at all with any Frams. Most people that say they suck haven't had any particular problem with them - they just read some internet page posted by some Joe Garage that did his own "tests" on a bunch of filters and didn't like the Frams. Some people also don't like them because they're not as "heavy duty" as other filters but, it's a filter, it doesn't need to be "heavy duty" on the outside. And actually changing your filter every other oil change will typically filter the oil BETTER than changing it every oil change...the problem with not changing it each time though is that the oil doesn't flow through the filter as easily (due to the build up of dirt and such in the filter). Personally I change mine with each oil change.
