well sams broke off, so I guess ill have the pistons filed down 2mm and rebalanced.

i havent lost an oil squirter yet, its been abour 7000 miles since they have been in
craig

This is the only case I've ever heard of with Arias pistons contacting the oil squirters. The oil squirters are very tricky and must be installed at the proper angle. My guess is that Sam simply overlooked this when he was building his engine.

the oil squirter clears the piston when the block was cold. Once warmed up(pistons expand) is when the piston contacted the oil squirter. Any way you turn the squirter it would hit. Its got me second guessing arias...but I need to do something cuz my car is out of commission.

Wierd. They can't get that close to the pistons can they? Even at BDC they should still have like 1/2" should they not?

I've probably sold over 100 pistons from arias, and Sam's case is the only case i've heard of this occurring. Don't know what to tell you. If you're that adamant about there being an issue with the pistons, then contact Arias, send them back, and have them measure them.

My car has been ok for 4 years without the oil squirters, and boosting. I had some of the first batch of JE pistons. I would love to have them though. They keep the pistons cooler underneath, and provide additional lube.

sall good, ordered weisco instead, they have them in stock and they dont contact the squirters. Only reason I raised this question at all is im on a strict time schedule, and I dont want to build a motor that is gonna have to be taken apart again anytime soon.

They don't contact the tip. If they did you have the squirter aimed right at the piston crown base.

So where exactly are they hitting? Use pic below if you can. I just went out to my engine and pulled it through, and I could only see them hitting o nthe tip of the squirter. That's on stock pistons though.
