What if I had a boost controller set at 6-7 PSI, wouldnt it be fine?

whats the point? the T-25 is plenty of turbo for that boost on a 2.0l....

Well im sick of the way my car is running and there arent really any places where I live that would rebuild a turbo so if i get the gt28rs i could set the psi to low then i could up the boost as i get new parts say new pistons, rods, and cams.

if you're not happy with how its running, the LAST thing you want is a bigger turbo. once again: Plugs, wires, coils, EGR, and WGA are where you need to start.
may or may not need a new turbo too. if you can't rebuild it locally, buy a rebuilt one somewhere, and send them yours as a core for like a $200 discount.

Yeah, i understand, i already did some of those mods and if i nedd to rebuild my turbo then it would be a win win if i just got a new one, any suggestions?

get the upgraded one.. there is a bushing durability upgrade, and a compressor wheel/housing upgrade... as for source, someone's going to have to help me out here...

Ugh and it can be so annoying to. Well what do you guys think if I replace my turbo with the gt28rs and then eventually replace my rods and pistons with the arias and pauter rod combo, I think if I get the pistons at an 8.5 to 1 ratio, it should run good, What do you guys think?

Okay, I got My car checked out today and turns out one of my cats were clogged, the one before the 02 sensor, who woulda thought, and turns out that California or all states (Hell if I know) Started a law on Jan 1 restricting putting universal cats on cars and mazda wants to charge 1700 dolla for a replacment. Im just gonna stomp out the screens in the cat and clean it out until i can find someone sellin there oem exhaust.

yeah, just gut it out, and put a non-fouler in behind it, or buy a catted SLS midpipe.

O Yeah, and turns out there is a bug in Mazdas system and they are trying to tell me my car is a clone of the Msp despite the fact I have everything in the msp package including the paint color.

find the MSP production numbers thread on here, search your VIN and it'll tell you for sure.

then search the HOW-TOs for a CEL/MIL non-fouler. actually nvm. I'll go grab the link and edit this post.

Yeah, ive checked it before and My car is #292, Mazdas system is bugged.

haha not surprising unfortionately. seems mazda didn't really put too much effort into anything about these cars.

Haha i agree, A very overly complicated and design flawed car, but I love it. Hard to put a nice intake on it when there is a big radiator fan in the way because the turbo manifold is put at an angle.

yeah I'd really like to know what they were thinking when the designed:
the diff
rear sway bar mounts
intake and boost tubing
intercooler
turbo mani

Ugh, So i just gutted my cat and took it out for a spin and it is still bogging. Id say it is definitely running better. When accelerating from a stop it doesnt bogg any more but it is when I punch it that it boggs. Ugh, how should I know what it is when mechanics don't even know what it is. I also looked at the exhaust and it wasnt spitting out white exhaust but when I punch it, it does.

Can Anyone help me?

punching out your cats probably wasnt the smartest of ideas, as you will need those cats to smog whenever you need to be smogged again.
