Yeah, I wonder who's got one of those layin around...
not anymore. I've got some mazdaspeed protege springs though. Now THAT would be funny
I thought megan bought those from you?
Oh no, I was just wondering. I was thinking she should be pretty close to paying them off lmao.
Maybe she forgot?
Is it a highflow cat? Those are STS2 legal as long as the position isn't modified more than 6 inches.
That brings up a point in my mind. Why would someone bother putting on an aftermarket cat that wasn't emissions certified, why go through the hassle?
Ruling = no. Faulty OE equipment is just as illegal as aftermarket stuff. Been through this argument before. While we're on the topic, check out the latest issue of GRM. Andy hollis did a good bit of testing on various aftermarket cats for the miata.
what did the best? i know random technology makes good cats

I figured as much, but I guess you'd just be the only one "surprised" when you lost the protest.
Yeah, saw that article. IIRC, the little Magnaflow made the most power and was the lightest by quite a bit, so I'm sure that's what Andy went with, though I don't think he said which was staying on the car.
I think you're right. You're thinking of the Magnaflow Spun cat, not the direct fit one.
