What have you done to your P5 today?

they are legit Mazdaspeed springs, they should fit.

Although, I do recall somewhere someone saying you need new spring perches and abuncha other stuff to run the Mazdaspeed springs

Negative. When I did mine, I used mazdaspeed upper perches and bump stops because they're better (shorter stiffer bumpstops, stiffer rubber in the top hats), but you can easily do this with stock equipment.

dude I keep telling you its easier, cheaper, faster to just get a built auto then to convert over. A buitl trans that will hold 275whp will be cheaper then a swap more then likely.

Your biggest issue will be the wiring differences between the dash harnesses of the atx and mtx.

Unless he can find a wrecked 5-speed pro or pro5 and get all the parts from it. Technically, I had all the parts I needed in my $100 parts car to do the swap. Dubbydo ended up buying the tranny and said everything works good.

No, its ok. Its being fixed... gonna cost a ton but its gonna be fixed.

I'm sorta the same way. I can't stand having something wrong with the car.

That's why I had such a hard time moving on from my previous car. It was getting quite old and outmoded, but it was still mint and very reliable.

I mean I could have kept driving it, but tell me if you would... VIDEO

Figured I would take it into the shop while it still drove instead of ending up having it towed to a shop later this week :(

Boosted. Took off the crappy nology wires and put some stock one on. Thinking about putting in one step colder spark plus in but the car seems to be running ok right now an I don't even have a MAP programed into the SSAFC. well I do have a map but it's jamesk N/A map. I was worried about running lean but as soon as boost kicks in my wideband starts to go rich. I wonder what's going to happen when I load the SSAFC Supermap?

darn. What should I do? I'm running the stock P5 ecu with a n/a map from jamesk. If I remember correctly there are all 10s when it hits 0psi in that map.

Where does he have the "switch" set for the AFC to go from closed to open loop? On the supermap I believe it's 1.1 psi or something similar. This way, with the MSP ECU (or even the P5 ECU) the car drives just the same in vacuum. If you want to keep the P5 ECU I'd set the "over pressure" setting to like 1.1 psi as with the supermap. The only difference is that here you will have to add fuel (values greater than 10) rather than pull fuel (less than 10). Just remember you can't run too much boost with the P5 ECU because it will require you to try to add too much fuel (increasing the MAF signal voltage to the ECU) and will cause the ECU to fuel cut and throw the "MAF voltage too high" CEL.

sounds complicated. I'm going to try and pm jamesk for a turbo map. I think he's using the stock p5 edu and ssafc

if u get a good map to run with the stock mp5 ecu let me know thats what im going to be running in my car.

Yes, I think that is a legitimate reason to take it in, especially if this happens at 1/4 throttle or so. It can actually be dangerous if you have to get moving quickly.

Im in search of one right now...

Can someone point me in the right direction... I think jamesk has this set up... not sure... im waiting on his reply... I currenly have his N/A map loaded into the SSAFC
