What have you done to your P5 today?

Thanks for the input, guys.
Hrm, well with the job on it now, it already did run on two spots.
Would a re-spray fix it, or would I absolutely have to buff it?
Looks like I might just have to try (someone stop me if I'm going to just ruin it more) and see.

just buff it with the scotch bright where the runs are to smooth them out and then give the whole thing a once over. and do 2-3 light coats this time to make sure it has a solid coat and keep the paint even so it doesn't run. The more time you spend on it the better it will come out.

I realized today that she can still put a smile on my face :)

Tomorrow she goes to the shop for some fab work and then hopefully back to me sometime next week. I'm going to be out-of-town next weekend so I guess I'm going to have to wait a while to install the CS radiator and Medieval dead pedal I'm picking up tomorrow. I've also learned some new things about the SS AFC that I want to try out to see if it fixes any of my driveability issues. After tomorrow all that's left to be installed is the CS radiator, dead pedal, DG front lip (I've had this for a while now) and some twiggy cams and an adjustable intake cam gear. After all this I should be good for a while or at least until I start my engine build. I'm seriously going to need to start tuning this thing!

finally decided to take some time to polish my headlights today. used a Permatex polish kit and finished it off with 3 coats of Meguiar's PlastX. damn things look brand new now! :D

Repainting the whole rear bumper my self right now. Got a high end paint gun to replace my cheap crappy one and it works great! Also after I repaint the whole thing I am painting th rear valence black. She should be done and back on the car by the end of the day tomorrow

Jeg man, do you realise whats all involed in doing the swap? Theirs a s*** load more to it then you think. installing the trans and mtx axels are the easy part.

If it wouldn't be such a PITA to find all the parts and do the work I would... but I don't have time for that, I would rather just die.

dude I keep telling you its easier, cheaper, faster to just get a built auto then to convert over. A buitl trans that will hold 275whp will be cheaper then a swap more then likely.

Your biggest issue will be the wiring differences between the dash harnesses of the atx and mtx.

^^^pertaining to stealth's post

that's what i'm saying... and no mis shifts caused by human error... sigh... thats what happened to my rsx-s

and with the valve body and torque converter you'll have 60fts turbo guys will envy

So as I had the car jacked up today, I think I may have realized why I couldn't get my Mazdaspeed springs on...the fronts look like they are supposed to be the wider of the springs and the rears the more narrow...is this correct, cause it would explain why the smaller pair would not fit on the front...
