What have you done to your MSP today?

mine were in stock, they just get in a ton of orders everyday, that they dont get to them fast anymore. they say 7 days for processing now, then you wait for your shipment lol...

but they product is great, id wait again.

ok i see what your askin...

yes jist replace the pads themselves... the easiest way to do it is to use a c clamp to push the pressure plate?? sorry don't know what its called but its the circle on your caliper that causes the brake pads to close makings u stop.. jist open your brake fluid resivour and use the c clamp to open the caliper up this makes it wayyy easy to jist slide right back over onto your rotors.. n all u have to do is jist pump your brakes to put the pressure back in the caliper... really easy like a 30min job

ya thanks Spiced, I've changed my calipers before but don't really know the procedure or protocol for changing break pads and all that, which is why I figured someone on here could give me quick answer or heads up

and ya BlueMSP, for the price, it doesn't really matter if you have to wait a little while anyways

Edit: man I am way to slow at replying, but anyways thanks boosted, and ya I know how to change them, I just wasn't sure if it was necessary to do anything extra, always better to be safe when it comes to breaks, but thanks for the help

in lamens terms yes, but trust me it wont go that easy. Nothing major on a mazda is a 30min job. My brakes were a $700, 6 hour job. took them apart to find out both rear calipers were shot, took 3 hours of searching morons at auto stores to find the right brakes, and then they were a pain to put on.

mind you this is when i worked as a technician at atkins automotive

^^ holy crap that sucks, well I just replaced my front right caliper, I forgot to lube up the parts inside which is why it was squeaking at first, but then I noticed my left breaks squeaking, the way they sound when the little pin sounds when it is worn, so I figure I will just replace both fronts, but I also just painted all of my calipers over again, and should be in good shape, they did when I looked them over a while back, but ya hopefully they should be all set. luckily I already have the car up for installing my fmic kit and stuff like that, so that's one less thing to do, and I should really just change the oil now that it is up too, since I will have to do that in a few hundred miles anyways

yeah but i guess i started with doing pads and rotors on all 4, then put 2 rear calipers on top of that lol....

which are $179.99 a piece.

could be worse... heres my recent luck(not my MSP but my truck), the AC high presure side valve leaks, vac'ed out the system, replaced it charged the AC system back up, a week later the AC compressor clutch went, replaced it, 3 days later teh compressor goes, vac out the system again, replace it and recharge , replace orifice tube, drier, and then the low side ac switch kicked it.

it wasnt today but while at eecmm in gatlinburg, noticed i have oil mixing with my coolant, (in overflow tank) aaand both rear shocks are d.u.n. lol

sorry to hear, it seems like cars in general always run great but as soon as you go on a cruise with a big group of people, the whole caravan of cars has to pull off to the side of the road because someone's car is messed up or something. Just recently, I saw a mustang crew with about a half mile long line of cars on the side of the road because one of them had a flat tire. Cruises never go without trouble

So I thought if the P5's could have one of these we could to. Hopefully there are enough people doing things to their MSP's to keep this going. Ill start.

I finally got tired of my ghetto looking dual gauge pod and spent the money on a full a-pillar (thanks ********** (first) ). I'm going to paint it whenever I can get hold of some of the Krylon #3551 Classic Gray and then put it in. Im pretty sure everybody will be able to tell which is the old and which is the new. I hope to have pics of it installed by the end of the week.

I think I will be interested to change my auto bra. I think it is good to have it. I really want to change MSP's front. What do you think? (2thumbs)

Walking towards the car the other day...I couldn't help it. Wish I had a real camera.
