I was considering the idea for a while, and then I took a ride with a buddy who has one in his miata.

Yeah, those are no fun when daily driving.

looked at mine today :( haven't had time to work on it recently.

I've both dailied a heavy clutch and a lightweight flywheel.. the flywheel isn't that big of a change. it takes getting used to..about a day. then it's good.. the clutch is more of a changer, just sucks in traffic.. but i enjoy both the lightweight flywheels and better clutches.

Starting out with my stage 2 plus can be jerky at times since there is almost no travel but shifting gears rules. Just a love tap on the clutch and pops right into gear.

ya I remember ken saying that the lightened flywheel is one of the best things, I can't speak for myself, but I can't see a down side to it, but I will just to wait till I upgrade my clutch/flywheel to see how it feels, also as far as prices, ken has a discount for buying both if you are interested, if not he still might be able to hook you up, just look under the PG section on this forum and ask for a price quote.. that said, my brother has the Spec stage 2, or 2 plus I think clutch, and it is kinda strange, and for some reason it catches higher than what I am use to.. I guess it might be able to be adjusted but I don't have the time to worry about that now, I can't remember if he has the lightened flywheel or not..

but also today I worked on my fmic install a little more, cut out the holes for the cold pipe side and luckily I had my WR smic pipes left over so I don't have to reorder 2 90* pipes and 1 or 2 90* couplers (I am waiting on the 2 90* and a 45* coupler I already ordered 2 days ago to come in, should be here on friday, and slimfan brackets) then the rest of the pipes will go in! can't wait, it is a great fitment so far, and I think they will be out of the way of the 03 fogs.. and none of the pipes will be below the splash guards which I really didn't want to have, and I still have my cai.. I will post pics when I am all done, just need to find my camera still and wait for the parts to come in.

its nice to get new parts in the mail. lol. i'm waiting on some stuff myself.

lol yeah it was kinda weird seeing the tg and silver next to each other. and yes i was rolling with the spicy and a few other cars from my local car club. carolinamazdas.com

does it matter brand wise or what not about head gaskets?. can i do this myself or better to have a shop handle it

I'd stick with mazda OEM personally, and I guess you could do it yourself, wouldn't see why not, just a pita, but then again I haven't had to do this myself yet so I dono
