Yup, Spool is gone, so the only way to get the Spool hardpipes is to buy a used set off someone who's upgrading to an FMIC.

Yes, the extra nipple was custom welded on. Without it you will still get the turkey even when running an aftermarket BOV.

once you crank up the boost a couple of pounds, it will sounds like a beast!!!!!!! i was mildly satisfied with my type s on stock boost, but then at 9 pounds or so, it comes alive!!!!!

Well my stock boost is 8psi (I got lucky)..and I am very impressed and very happy with the sound so far.

No plans in the immediate future to raise the boost due to warranty concerns...I'm sticking with airflow mods right now (got the intake & pipes, next up is downpipe this weekend, cat-back exhaust in another 2 weeks, then the new SMIC whenever it's available.

Can you snap some pics of the engine bay, so we can all drop our jaws over those spool hard pipes and your new BOV setup. Thanks. Johnny from Vegas.

cool, thanks man, I'm about to do some goodies and I'm getting ideas. I'm thinking about doing the dual setup with my Forge BOV but question is I want to put it on the same line as the stock BPV, but will this work. Going to put the BOV on the side nearest the IC charge pipe off the turbo then leave the bpv after it. Think this will work???

You'd be much better off having one of the valves on the IC->TB pipe...the turbo->IC pipe isn't exactly the best spot for a BOV or BPV.

cool, that's why I'm looking for ideas. UNWOUND just got a set of stock pipes for a killer deal and I'm trying to buy them now from him, we'll see. I want to put the bov right on the T/B pipe and keep the stocker in it's place. Anyway, thanks for the ideas and I can't wait to see some pics.

That setup also works...some other people are running similar to that.

I think the way mine works is the best overall....with the BPV on the TB pipe recirculating back into the intake, MOST of the air gets recirculated, avoiding bogging or stalling. The air that makes it past the BPV (the air that would cause surge if unchecked) gets released to the atmosphere via that GReddy.

No stalling issues, no bogging down between shifts, and no turkey.

I also have both valves using the brake booster line as a vacuum source.

Man, THIS_SOUND_IS_JUST_AWESOME. It's been 10 minutes and the vid is running in loops.

That does sound great. Mine sounds nowhere near that loud of a spool up. Of course I have no boost gauge and dont know what my stock boost is.

I have a dumbass question. (chair) Can you adjust the BOV so it doesn't sound when you don't want the attention of police? (crazy)

Yeah don't mash the throttle and stay out of boost lol.

But honestly, if you shift *extremely* fast it's not that noticeable. Instead of the PSSSSSSSHHHHHHHTTTT it's more like a *PSHT*

holy crap thts ssooo sweet man! i'm still waiting for mine to come! stupid shipping takes a hell of a long time.
