I called these guys http://www.tbkperformance.com/ and they sell BILLET gears 3rd and 4th for $550 each. They have them in there race car and they say there indistructable. So it looks like i'll be going with 3rd for now, and if 4th breaks later i will replace it to. Guess i'll have the LSD welded up when its out too. I think this will work fine for what i have in mind. I dont really want anymore than 325 to the wheels. Anymore than that and it'll be a pain in the ass to drive.

you want an advice my friend ? dont you dare to do anything with TBK Performance, been there and done that, if you want to wait 7 months for your gears and 4 months to get your LSD welded like s***, go head and trow your money to them.. i highly dont recommend anybody to do s*** with them !! i have thoses gears, also they were $ 450 for 3rd and 4th, not $ 550 for each.. its incredible the balls these people have !!

Its a set from PTK!! I would love to hear why people are down on them? are there parts junk? He said he should be getting them in within acouple weeks.. If he cant get them, I have a freind in vegas at a machine shop, who is going to ask his boss if he will consider making them for all of us that want to buy them...

The PAR 1-4 gearset will only be $3100 USD! Not sure where you got that $6k.
You don't need their pinion output shaft, crown wheel and Quaife LSD in order for it to work!

I'm ordering on Monday or Tuesday!

i love everything about my msp.. but just like alot of people, im afraid of putting money into it because of the transmission problems...im already in the process of purchasing a welded lsd...i wish there was an easier way (and less expensive) to go about this problem........but there really isn't unless you have lots of cash to throw at it (even then its iffy), its a shame such a great car has such horrible quirks

(after mentioning my lsd failure to my honda fanatic friends up at phantasm, i was told to get a honda...but who doesn't have one of those?)
