spicy p5

coming from someone who used to model in 3d max, that is great work dude...

makes me want to get back into CAD modeling again :p

out of curiosity though, why make a stock P5? why not make a mazdaspeed version just for fun :p ? (then the spicy would be even more appropriate)

thanks again guys

@B1GHAM, you actually asked a very good questoin, i dont know how well you know san andreas, but there is a certain garage where you can mod your car completely, replacing kits and rims and what not. so i figured i'll model the stock p5, and in the garage i'd have 2 kits, 1 with msp lip and the 2nd with the DGM lip, hydrolics will lower the car, can change the exaust too

actually, there is one kit being worked on my model right now by another member in my team, he was inspired by the BC2 kit and autoexe for mazda 3 i think, custom fitted into the p5, here's what it looks like at the moment (the kit that is, not sure if it'll be released yet)

Is CAD modelling hard to do, or is this something you can just "whip up?"

its not something you can just "whip up"

thats like asking if the mona lisa is hard to paint :p

CAD modeling takes a lot of patience and skill to master. I used to use 3d max all the time (I used to work models for Rainbow six and Rogue spear, half life, etc. and modify the game codes).

I could do some great work... but to build that spicy, he put HOURS upon HOURS of work into it. The detail is honestly unreal.

I like the body kit, with the exception of the flared fenders... remove that and youre golden. They just look out of place.

as for san andres? I have no experience w/ the game :p

Thats Bob & Veronica's old P5. They are from tucson AZ. They traded it in for a white 6 wagon. Their P5 used to be a dark blue. They ended up painting Bob's P5 and Veronica's Civic Si both spicy orange.

WOW, that p5 is the sexyness, i have a new goal in life :D make my "dream" come true, now i just gotta find at least 2 G's from somewhere, lol
thanks for the pics guys

@sevsev, dude, i saw your p5 on toprotege, its HOT, esepcially the back, so clean, i wish i had time to attend the meets, hopefully i'll see you guys again at the 2007 MOM

i dont know if i'm allowed to do this or not, but here's a link to my website
www.dmdgraphics.com

i have yet to update with the latest p5 model pics, but you'll notice some complete projects in the portfolio and other projects being worked on int he W.I.P. section (work in progress)

@maxx mazda, like what B1GHAM said, it takes a lot of time, practise, patience, and effort with those models, but these days there are so many tutorials that you can get a good model from the first try, i've seen it happen

this is the most awesomest thread ever. I'm gonna have to get GTA just so I can drive a spicy p5...even if it is just in a game and not in real life lol
