Speedo Problem

Hi guys, i can't get the speedo working. I have a 2001 MazdaProtege with the 2003 MazdaSpeed Protege Engine and tranny. I machine a gear on the LSD, put the speedodrive sensor on it, plug the wire, but the speedo doesn't work. We test the speedo drive sensor on another protege and it work fine. So we guess it is the wiring in the car.

So I guess the wiring goes in the ECU ( I have the ProtegeSpeed ECU), and after goes in the cluster. They said i would have to buy something that will transform the signal between the speedo drive to the cluster.

Anyone ever heard about this? Or can give me more info?

From what I hear the MSP takes it's speed from the axles. (shrug)
If your using the MSP transmission it may not work with your harness because of that.

Well yeah the MSP doesnt read off the LSD XD, so i cant help you sorry.

yeah but from what i've heard, if i machine the lsd and put a speedo-drive on it, it works.

Put this question on the P5 forum and see what they have done to figure it out. I'm sure your not the only one that has done this.
