Trying to run solar cable from roof into trunk without drilling

I have a roof top tent currently on my CX-5 (2017 GT) and I'm looking to add some flexible solar panels to the top so I can power a small fridge in the trunk for extended camping trips. Currently trying to find a nice route to run the external solar cable into the trunk. There seems to be enough of a gap where the trunk meets the roof to slide the cable in, however I can't seem to find a nice weather-proofed way to then get the cable into the trunk.

I've seen videos where people just slide the cable under the trunk's weather seal strip, however this adds a big bump to the seal and doesn't look great. Alternatively I could cut a notch in the weather sealing and then add some Sikaflex/sealant around there to re-seal the notch. I've also seen someone go behind the rear lights, however there's another sealed off grommet that I can't really access unless I cut it and reseal it after.

Anyone else have some ideas before I start carefully cutting and resealing some existing sealed grommets?
Thanks

I've seen a product consisting of flexible solar panels on the hood, and the cable runs down through the windshield cowl to enter through the door area. I saw it on facebook, but I can't recall the name.

Another place might be where the cables for the trailer lights exit under the rear bumper.

Let's see pics of your car camping setup 😁

Could your cable in through the grommet at the top of the tailgate where the wiring for the tailgate goes through?

Good idea, I found this video with an example install of trailing wiring. Thinking of feeding the cable along the trunk, in behind the rear lights, up through a free rubber grommet behind the left panel inside the trunk, and then into the trunk.

Hopefully there's room for all the cables in that route 🤞. Otherwise maybe through the top grommet as others suggested and then re-sealing that with some strong silicone sealant.

What's the weight rating for the roof? How many people can you put up there?
Dynamic weight of the roof is 165 lbs, static is much higher. Two people have slept in the tent for a multi-night camping trip.

Added a couple pics of the tent - still don't have the panels attached
