Does 10 psi really feel different??

Right now I've got a full turboback, aem cai, and ion fmic, running stock boost. It feels quick but not really. So my question is by turning up the boost to about 10 or 11 psi will it feel a lot different or not really? The turboback made a difference, esp. in the upper rpm range. I just want more speed now.

do it and then come back and write what you think.

you WILL notice a huge difference. Try it.

It just feels more torquey to me. Harder to launch it and such but it is quicker. Down low it's most noticeable. I'm just not crazy on the strung out feel it can give the car (more spazzy than before)

eh i say you will only feel the difference if the temperture there is below 50 degrees, its getting to be around the high 80s hear in oklahoma, and still a long summer to go for my overheating msp

It'll definately be faster until the wastegate opens up and screws the flow up in the stock "S-pipe". Then you're back to almost where you were before. That's why we need a separator in the "s-pipe" for the wastegate and the turbine.

i would be more worried about the worst a/f ratios/ power curves ive ever seen on a turbo car(aka the msp) at 10psi.

I wouldnt say that mine were 12.2 at 10 psi stayed that way to redline in 4th gear . Yea 10 psi feels good . I dont run that all the time but it does feel good.

No doubt, try some more and you'll feel even better. Especially if you have added the right mods. I have no launch issues or driveability issues running more psi than stock. Just don't go crazy because the rod bolts are not made for massive amounts of repeated overboost.

Run a 2-STAGE controller for maximum boosting enjoyment! Our T25 spools up quickly and will launch well at the stock boost setting. Hit the switch when shifting to a higher gear and hold on.

I cannot speak for all MSP's as no two are alike; but my MSP loves the boost.

(werd) 10psi feels good...I drove CustomMSP's car @ 10psi...felt REAL good. Except for the fact that if you punch it in 1st, you don't get any traction :)

You have the supporting mods to at least try it, so I say go ahead and see for yourself.
Congrats on showing restraint and getting the big mods first before dialing up the boost, you're a better man than me!(spin)

you will be able to tell the difference, but i must warn you..once you go 10-11psi you won't want to go back down and 13-14psi is only another 1/4 turn. i went 14psi for a couple of days, the msp is extremely quick @ 14psi but for now 12psi is just as good. at 12psi you'll find yourself looking to get next to a v8..oh and the look on there face when they can't pull away from you...you've got the mods..give it a try. Someone has his car dynoed with similar mods as you and it only made like 7 whp dufference between 7 psi and 10 psi.

My car is running 6 lbs right now. I plan on going to 10 lbs, but I don't want anymore than that. That is until I get standalone, and build the motor I have sitting in the garage with all forged internals.

That was 505zoom and we both think it was maybe the ecu or something because i dynoed at 9 pis and put 186 then went to 10 psi and got 201whp so who knows what was goingon them days with the ecu . I promise 10 psi is alot faster then 7psi. Ive been reajusting today to launch at 7 and then hit it at 10. I cant stand it to be at 7 psi it feels so slow now. But that is what iam goingt to try at the track to get better times .
