Because that's how their dyno works. How do you figure it's not accurate?

Out of curiosity... Please share what products are a better bang for your buck that are safe and can be smogged?

On the test car (intake, exhaust, Tuner Computer. Under $1,500 retail price. Dyno shows a 78hp increase. $18.58 per horse power is pretty good if you ask me.
well maybe not being accurate is a bad choice of words on my part, what I meant is that everyone elses uses whp so it would be a better comparison.

I think that the downfall of this unit is that it cannot be easily changed for different settings, what happens if you put more mods on your car? you have to reprogram it again by sending it to someone.

Dont get me wrong I am not knocking the product I think for many people they will be more than happy with it. For me I would rather spend the money on the MPI tuner or Emanage that I can change as a build up my car.

Your right about the safe part though, playing around with settings if you dont know what your doing could do some big damange, so a unit like this is nice for people that dont want to mess with the cars to much.

Are you saying that the exhaust ,intake, and tuner computer is under $1500.00? If that is the case WOW, that is a deal.
I still beleave they need to retune that, before they release it, but WOW good deal if that is the case

Add a conservative 10% to any whp number to get the approx crank numbers...

Gotta work lots of overtime and pay the rest of my bills. But this does sound like a great deal. I'd be interested in buying also come another month or so.

(snip)....Also id the chip capable of a 2 stage system where from some kind of switch I could change from cruisin gas mileage mode to all out power mode? I read an article about a few cars that could adjust the boost like that and had good fuel maps for both to optimize economy or optimize 1/4 mi if needed. Can this system do that?

(snip)....BTW, this time at the shop they added switches to change settings (as someone asked about doing in here). I can go from stock boost to high boost. They also built in maps for high octane fuel.

Happy reading

that's awesome

how much would the whole thing cost? CS CAI, catback, the injectors (WRX?) and the chip. all together

That is all we have installed on the test car (my MSP). And those are the prices we are selling the parts for.

There is more information on the website. The purpose of this post was to just share the latest updates with the unit.

i'm interested in the computer but. i need it tuned for a fmic, downpipe, cat-back, and cai. i also want to know if it removes the fuel cut. and does the car stall with open bov. how does the boost controler work.

thanks justin h.

I'm very interested in the temperature compensation that mp3skaternc touched on. I live in Texas in the summer and Maryland the rest of the time. The extremes between MD winters and TX summers has me concerned about running a map than can't compensate for different temps.

If CS doesn't answer this before they call me regarding my harness which I ordered through them, I'll be sure to talk to them about this and post up on it.

850 doesn't sound bad to me... and our cars are more limited edition than the WRX crowd's. Very likely i may get one as soon as they have the 10psi maps readied for flashed cars.

TurboXS has had problems with getting the Unichips to work on the WRX's. "when they work, they work great, but when they don't it becomes hell"

That's why they've switched to utec. As long as I can get a Unchip to run ~11.8A/F I plan on picking one up in August. 12.5 is too leanf or me though.

and no 875 isn't that bad for it... now that some decent power is being pulled i think its a good option. i used to be AEM-or die but i can't spend 2K on ems...

Why is everyone scared of a 12.5:1 A/F ratio? Yes, that does seem a little lean for the stock intercooler temps, but as long as it stays stable, everything should be fine. Is there something that I'm missing? Also, I'd like to see the A/F maps to see when it's at 12.5:1. It may be that it's that lean before boost is even kicks in. Not a pro, but I am curious.

Well, if someone says it runs 12.5 A/F I assume its averaging 12.5 and stay pretty consitant, under boost. 12.5 is too lean for my tastes. I wanna see no leaner than 12.0. The FS-DE likes the richer side of 12 though, atleast in the majority of tuning info I've read.

12.5 may be fine until heatsoak occurs and then you're running a lot of hot air with not enough fuel. Vroom, Boom.
