Cork Sport 'Power Series' Tuner Computer update

Wouldn't the A/F be able to get adjusted by a tuning shop, though... It'd be nice if it were perfectly tuned out of the box, but even if that were the case, I'd take my car in with it to work out all the details, just to be safe.

I don't expect the tune to be perfect but wouldn't it make sense to distribute it with a conservative, safe base map?
 
Per conversation w/ Ben @ Corksport.
Summary:<O:p</O:p
  • The Unichip units are in from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:pSouth Africa</ST1:p</st1:country-region>. Test car map (Bens car- non flashed) set to 10 psig hitting fuel cut with aggressive driving.<O:p</O:p
  • He is going back to the dyno next week to get a new map made to avoid the fuel cut. They have a flashed car that they will be mapping at this time, also.<O:p</O:p
  • The units should be remapped and shipped by the end of next week.<O:p</O:p
  • The unit comes w/ solenoid valve for the wastegate signal line.<O:p</O:p
  • There will be an injector package available for an est. 285 hp.
It was nice that Ben called w/ the heads up on what was going on with these. I figured that these would probably take a while to get right. I would rather wait a little longer for these, so that they can get them right the first time. <O:p</O:p

The 285 estimate was with other bolt ons I should add.

It looks like we might be taking the car back today to get them done now....

are you going to post some dyno sheets with A/F ratio?
 
Awesome. I'd really like to see the A/F on the flashed set of maps. When you guys call to confirm shipment of my 3pt harness, I'm gonna grill you with questions :)

Yeah, kind of supprised me too. :)

I have sitting waiting for me to install: Unorthodox Racing race clutch, Unoorthodox Racing 9# flywheel, Unorthodox Racing crank pulley, SR Motorsports cam gears, Indigo alt. and water pump pullies, J-spec intake cam, voltage regulator system, ground wire kit, AWR motor mounts, spark plug wires, etc.

I'm thinking 300hp isn't out of the quesiton after the fuel is situated.

I'm still trying to figure out the inject stuff yet. 440cc w/ Holly 190 fuel pump, BEGI FPR

I just ask of one thing. I know you guys are busy with more important things (like helping me embarass my friend and his RSX), but please please please put a link on the "Project MSP" page that points to the Tuner Computer info. A FAQ or a page dedicated to this project would be awesome, since it's obvious that there's a LOT of interest. I missed the MazdaSpeed section and clicked on the "Engine/Drivetrain" section looking for it.
