Cork Sport 'Power Series' Tuner Computer update

Hello,

As I said, this was just to post new info about the units. All the info regarding these units is on our website.
Did you ever go in and get more tuning adjustments last week?

Yeah, they just messed around with some things to get rid of the fuel cut. I picked up all the units at the same time. They are good to go now.

When you say that it gets rid of fuel cut, do you mean that it won't cut the fuel at any boost, or that the boost was adjusted to stay below fuel cut?

Cool. So the maps are set for a 13-10psi bleed throughout the RPM band and your motor is running a 12.5 A/F ratio?

To be honest I don't know 100% what they did to fix the issue I had specifically.

The boost is set at 10psi. It goes up toward 13psi in the mid range where it is safer to run it higher.

Cool, I like the idea of the boost bleed to increase mid range power and then back it down as the RPM's climb to keep the motor from detonating.

I assume the Unichip application for the MSP is similar to the other Unichips in that it only intercepts the TPS and MAP and Cam Angle sensor signals to manipulate the stock ecu? I also assume the Unichip allows the EECV to control intake air temperature compensation, cold start, hot start etc? This is one of my largest concerns as I live in 2 very different climates over the course of a year, and I don't want to try to run a map that will only control the engine properly during the Texas summer and have to re-tune for a colder MD fall and winter.

Thanks for all the updates and support :)

will the unichip be tuned for fmic and downpipe? what is the air fuel ratio? because with a fmic its going to run alittle leaner then stock.

thanks justin h

Justin,

I installed Unichip on my car yesterday, my car has FMIC, SRI, Corksport Exhaust, and some other little things, and the car runs flawlessly, I still haven't noticed the difference between map A/B but over all, no backfires, no jerkiness, no hiccups, and as soon as boost builds, it's go time.
Usually you can hear when the car runs rich or too lean, and it sounds very healthy. And like Ben said, I've spiked to 14.5 psi sometimes, but it's steady at 10psi.
BTW Ben, with that Short intake you guys made, it makes some serious whining, pretty awesome, and install was pretty simple, except i'm missing a bracket that's supposed to mount the boost controller valve.
Thanks again,
Vik.

i would like to see pics of the cork sport tuner computer installed. and if you get a chance i would love to see dyno #'s and air fuel ratio of your car. thanks for the info and i can't wait to get the computer.

thanks justin h

so vik, all in all a big difference???
OK, the first day or so, big difference, but then I'm starting to either get used to it or it gets slower. And i had to re-read the directions where it talks about ecu re-learning, I had to turn the switch off for 10 minutes to see the difference, and yes it resets the ecu and you get rough idle for a short while, but it looks like it's back to the fast. I haven't run into anyone worth wasting gas on, yesterday some guy in a chevy cavalier tried to race me, needless to say it only took second gear.
I want to run against a 350z that a friend of mine has, what do you think?

I will say this again..... We have been running the unit in my car for months (daily driven). This is not guess work. We have been testing and doing various R&D for months on these particular units. Also, Unichip is a company that is very reputable and been in business for a great deal of time.

thanks cork sport i thalt he was just getting used to his car. I want to know when the injector package was going to be available with the computer?

thanks justin h

Still working on injectors. That is actually the highest priority of my life right now. haha. I can't do any more upgrades on the car until my fuel is addressed.

There is two options I am looking into right now for injectors. I'll post info when I figure out what I'm doing. I'm trying to make this as painless as possible and as inexpensive as possible.
