Through our first 10,000 miles (last time I updated the spreadsheet was mid-May 2011) we've averaged 24.881 MPG. Most of the driving has been commuting to work and back around Washington DC (wife works in Rosslyn VA). I think we've only taken it on one real road trip, when it was still nearly new, averaging 29 MPG on that ride.

Overall it's a little lower than I expected with this car but not enough to concern myself with. It's still far better than our 4Runner.
