What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

uh oh, already have plans to let her go eh? not running her into the ground... damn. well hopefully its long term. :P

Not sure if that was directed for me, but no, I dont plan on letting her go!.... Not until they pull me from the wreckage with the jaws of life, or another not so dramatic (or maiming) totaling experience lol

I was saying that I hope I can get my car close to where Quiks car was before he parted it out and went back close to stock.

ZFZ, that speedline grill looks really good, how's the fitment?

Ehhh.... its pretty good. Not OEM by any means..... But as far as an aftermarket fiberglass part, its good. The one thing that makes me have any thoughts is it is higher than the top of the bumper line. (ITs hard to notice, since its black, but if you look in my album and enlarge the pics #2 BTW, you can see what Im talking about.) The top of the grill almost touches the underside hood lines. But Im just picky/anal about it. A lot of people wouldnt even notice. And I noticed it at first, was a little bothered by it, but the overall effect an look it brings, I dont have a problem rolling with it.

Oh! and I think it got lost but as Quik mentioned already, I need a drop. But with my worries about the lip, what is a good choice on springs that will remedy my fender gap but not make my lip living on borrowed time? Or am I having a pipe dream?

Installed the AL from Speedline & hard wired the radar detector behind the dash for a clean install. No more of the little dash pocket being open all the time & that little light staying on.

Looking good, Phil, that's a nice clean install. Does it hurt the performance of your detector not having it mounted up high? I always thought that was the ideal way to do it, although I've never had one myself (illegal here in Ontario).

car officially in the body shop for repair today. will take 2-3 weeks, ARRRGH!! i already miss her.

I feel your pain. My sister has one, that I drove for awhile. To bad it wasn't ATLEAST the SS version. Which is probably a joke anyway...

hahaha that sucks man. i think they should atleast give you something comparable to your car. we have gotten:
For the ms6: dodge ram 1500, Pt. cruiser, and a taurus
For the 6i: Neon, Focus, kia sorrento,

Ram 1500 and neon were the most fun.. haha

I have a Cobra model I believe...would have to check on that, because I don't remember.
I have yet *knocks on wood* to have been caught & ticketed w/my detector...mind you I live in MD and its illegal in DC and VA.
It was even lower in my Miata. Under the radio in the 2nd din....again, no issues.
I've been tagged a few times by Laser, but I don't go so fast, that I can't inconspicuously slow down enough for the tagging officer to say f**k it...
Besides, I don't know where or how I would run the power if I put it up so high...

Look at a Redline. It is undetectable by radar detector dectectors, especially helpful for where you live. Mine is just mounted below my RVM and hardwired in it. When it warms up, I'm going to run the a remote wire it around to the fuse box with a remote mute. I'm also going to move it up high. I'll post pictures when done.

you should mount it up by the mirror, thats where I have mine so it blends in. then i just ran the cable with mirror ones through the headliner and down the side where I hard wired it in the fuse box.

Ok so me and Qwik are entered for MOTM, i just PM'd Rhoadblock to see if he'd enter in too!! its all in good fun, enter in gents!

hmm.
maybe i should enter just for bulls*** haha. i got 1 vote last time! (AND IT WASNT MYSELF!)
6's all over MOTM! LETS DO ET!

F*** this washer tank. I ordered a new pump and level sensor a while back. And neither came with gromets to fit in the tank.... So I ordered a new tank hoping it came with those. And no. It does not. Mazda does not sell these seperatly either. So I had to use super glue or contact sement to bond the plastic together. Even sanded them up to help make a good bond. Everything was dried and sealed and I went to put in washer fluid today and it started leaking and didnt stop until it was empty. This is bs. And she is picking the car up saturday. That was my 4th attempt to fix this and it can;t be done. I am going to track one down in a junk yard somewhere and the mazda 6 washer tank is different than the speed6. Thanks mazda.
