I've owned my P5 since '06. It's got close to 230k miles on it and loved it the whole time. But I've recently placed an order for a new car and the wife and I don't need 4 cars between the two of us.
It's not perfect. There's still a dent on the passenger rear quarter where someone backed into it 2 decades ago. The clear coat is coming off in the typical spots. The sunroof is slow to open and close.
But I've maintained it well. I've got all of the records from Mazda for the parts and service from the last 20 years.
I only mention it here because I know these are hard to come by and didn't know if someone would be looking for a reliable daily that has a few bumps and bruises. I have a list of maintenance that I plan to do before the car I ordered shows up in April. The P5 has the factory clutch in it. (I drive like an old man) I planned to replace it since it has a slow rear main seal leak that I want to address. The front seal also looks like it's started to leak, so I'll get that as well. I've just replaced the trailing arms because one started to clunk.
What is the market like for these? Are there still diehards out there that want them? I haven't even given thought to a price yet. Just gauging interest.
