turbo area leaking coolant, noob need help...

i just noticed theres some light liquid leaking in the past 2 days (thoguth its canadian egr water hose)

untill today, i noticed the dash temperature gauge raising to like 75-80%

after i got home i let it idle for like 2 mins the temperature gauge dropped to like 60% and then suddenly back up to 75%

pop the hood and found some liquid shooting out from turbo area

shot for the first few second when i pop the hood and its just dripping lightly atm.

should i fill up and drive to shop. or should i be asking for a tow? theres a goodyears shop about 1min drive which i never visit before.
and a shop i usually go about 15mins away

and what am i looking to get replaced?

just checked again

coolant reservoir is empty and i found green water drop hanging below the down pipe heatshield.

i am not sure what brand and type of coolant is in there(since its from previous owner) should i drain it, flush it and get new coolant replaced before i go to the shop?

just take 1-2 gallons of coolant with you. fill up and take it to your shop. probably one of your turbo coolant lines rusted out and is shooting coolant out. you might be low on coolant which is why your temp goes up and comes down a bit when your fans kick on.

mhm i got samco radiator hoses on hand, and a meter of 19mm ASH hose ,

maybe i should take them with me to the shop too?

gonna grab a bottle of prestone universal from walmart before i go to the shop then.

just put water in and have the shop drain and refill the fluid after they are done with the work. Probably going to have to drain the system anyway so no point in putting new coolant in for a 15 min drive.

coolant really just acts to inhibit corrosion and keep the water from freezing in the winter

i double checked, and believed to be the #19 water feed line's bolt/washer leaking (that bolt are wet all day)

cant fit ratchet/ ratcheting wrench in there, actuator and some other bolt are in the way.

19mm socket fits in there, but ratchet cant go in the socket because actuator is in the way

would need to take the whole thing down i guess.

unless i find a tool that fits in there? (DIY welded one i guess)

if i find someone to weld this thing to a metal bar maybe it would work

and i just found out previous owner welded the manifold and turbo flange together... cheap fix?

I really like that exploded view where did you find that? (might help in future to fax to dealers for parts)

You will need two crush washers for each line and install them like this. napa auto parts should have crush washers in stock

are you 100% sure that's the problem? I had that same issue several years ago and it was my water return elbow that was busted. Also, correct me if Im wrong, but did you say the PO welded the turbo to the manifold?

its rainning all day in the past few days, i cant do a triple check XD

but i am sure the banjo bolt at the rear of turbo under manifold is still wet after i parked it for 2 days. the one in front is dry like dusty.

i just got my water feed line washer/ banjo gasket thingy $4

gonna check again if rain stops or drive to shop to get it done

cuz i cant put any of my tool in there... the turbo actuator rod is in the way

and theres a small bolt near the banjo bolt, which means i can only fit a thin wall short socket in there, but my ratchet is blocked by actuator rod.

and previous owner "welded" manifold to the turbo i think so i guess i need to ask shop to take the whole thing down

and need to replace the manifold downpipe/exhaust gaskets i guess
