Tricky question regarding speaker cones...can this be done?

wouldn't that add weight to the cone and possibly change the performance of the speaker?

is it the center dust cover thats damaged? or the actual surround?

nice to know that your fix worked. i guess you're right about the last sentence, i would also rather have a slightly heavier cone than none at all.
