listen guys this is ridiculous..the product has already been described...if you dont know what a DP is or what its goign to replace then dont post...I'm getting my downpipe and so are the others who pmed me I'm shutting this thread down next tuesday whether I have enough people or not. If you want a great deal then post, if not then have fun paying 300 bux for a DP. I went out of my way to share a great deal with the people on MSP and its more hassle than its worth. If you want in on the GB pm me. ONLY PM ME IF YOU WANT TO BUY, no questions!

is this d/p going to be 230 shipped? Good deal either way. I'd like to go 3" for the hay of it, but 2.5 will suffice as I don't plan on making mondo power anytime soon. Thx.

The price for this DP will be AT MAX $230 it could cost less then that but,no more then that. it will be a DP from the turbo back not, a mid-pipe like most of the "down-pipe's" on the market now are. it will be made out of SS piping.this is what i have been reading at least......

Now john i know your getting tired of all the question's but, some thing's are not to CLEAR so try and remain calm. have a bear or some thing man!(cheers)

Ok here is my question again.(pow) you said: "the DP will be designed so that it can have a bolt on cat or straight pipe"

my question is does this DP come with this straight pipe or,is this something EXTRA that we have to buy from them. i know that if you want a cat your going to have to pay extra for it........(shrug)

ps:I'm thankful that your trying to help us out but,you kind of have to expect 1,000,000+question's before someone fork's over their money to buy a product that hasn't been seen yet.

just my .02cent's no need to bite my head off. (strike)

I'm still questioning the whole cat situation...If I'm correct, even 2 high flow cats are still illegal in cali. How would I go with the turbo>cat section, then use my stock cats? It just doesn't seem like it's possible for those of us that NEED to remain street legal when we want to be.

i might be in on this... i'll give you an answer once more questions and design issues are answered. but if it goes through with a 3" design, i'm in. so save me a spot.

Subscribing to keep my eye on this. We're getting close to a few of the "board sales" rules.

Price sounds right. I like the fact that it replaces the S-pipe. But i'm looking for a high flow cat so the $230 doesn't really apply.

Are they going to offer the bolt on cat ontop, or do we have to go out and buy one after? And if there is an O2 bung, it should be after the High Flow cat right?

thanks Convert, for all your effort in this. Can't wait to get this movin along.

This sounds good. If payments are due after the first of July, then I think I might have to hop on this.

ok I had my beers so I'm a littl more relaxed now. Ok questions first. The DP will come as a straight pipe. I'm currently negotiating how much extra he will charge for a cat instead. As far as Cali emissions, I have no clue what to tell ya. T3ase, this is just the interest/design stage before any money is sent or products are sold I will contact you as far as what needs to be done. Im not the fabricator, just the middle man in this transaction, so Im not exactly sure what the rules are for this on the forums. Finally here is the list thus far, if you haven't sent me a pm you're not on the list, this also isn't necessarily the order either, I just wrote down all the names randomly. In the end the first person to get their DP will be the person who does the fittings, then it will go in order of PMs.

I'm leaving for a business trip tomorrow night and wont be back till tuesday, so I want to try to get the ball rolling before I leave, but if not I'll be back on tuesday night to catch up on the posts...

Once again for those of you interested in getting in on the GB(assuming it happens) please send me a pm saying you want on the list. Please read the entire thread befor pming me, the majority of questions have been asked, but post questions on the thread, not to my inbox.

We already have a downpipe available for the MSP. It is cast iron with 2.5 ID and a donut joint to bolt directly into the stock exhaust or any aftermarket.

It has a bung for the O2 sensor and it is a direct replacement to the stock unit.

Price is $120.00

do we have any pics of this, I was told by several sources that it didnt remove the s-pipe, and was merely a mid pipe....not trying to bash your products, just curious...

I figured that I'd just buy a cat thats good enough to pass a visual with a cop incase the time ever came, or maybe a dummy if there was no cel (which I'm not banking on). Save your stocker for real inspection. No??

That's what worries me though...About the cops. Some of them(highway patrol and the cops in my little ass town) are real bitches. Like I said. I think even high flow cats are still onsidered illegal. And from what I've heard about emissions fines, that's not something I'm willing to risk. I guess I have some info to look into first(RTM)

Technically the cat can only be replaced if it no longer serves it's purpose. i.e. defective, has a hole in it, etc. Only then can it be removed. However if you replace them with a high-flow there is usually not a problem, since the high-flow is doing the same thing as the one that came off the car. As far as I know only shops can get in trouble for taking cats off a car. I'm lucky enough to not have to deal with emissions testing, but most of my friends are from certain cities here in Texas that have to deal with them. This is just the little bit that I have learned talking to my father (an attorney) about the subject, since I want to replace mine. Cali may be different, not sure though. Hope this helps.

Tommy

emissions laws in cali are very strict...$1500 fine for tampering with emissions control devices per offence. it used to be $1500 per cat removed !
