Im in as well...only if we can get it 3", I still feel anything less than 3" is a waste of time.

My friends subby has a 4" to 3" DP....that thing is huge!!!!

I believe the whole point in thisis to replace the stock cats as they are very restrictive.

from what I can tell if will be similar to the Apex "downpipe", except with a flanged section to bolt in a cat. I also believe it will replace the real downpipe or "s-pipe"

listen guys this is ridiculous..the product has already been described...if you dont know what a DP is or what its goign to replace then dont post...I'm getting my downpipe and so are the others who pmed me I'm shutting this thread down next tuesday whether I have enough people or not. If you want a great deal then post, if not then have fun paying 300 bux for a DP. I went out of my way to share a great deal with the people on MSP and its more hassle than its worth. If you want in on the GB pm me. ONLY PM ME IF YOU WANT TO BUY, no questions!
I believe the whole point in thisis to replace the stock cats as they are very restrictive.
I'm just asking because I have a Corksport exhaust, which already replaces the cats... if this downpipe will work, I'll buy it.

Jflo, if you want to do this, don't get so angry with questions, I have to make sure the product will work with the Corksport exhaust that I already have. Why would I pay money for something that might not even work for me? Geez.

Well john "DSMconvert" has the cork sport exhaust also so,i would think that he will be making sure that this DP will work with the, cork sport exhaust........

When he get's back from his trip he sould be able to explain it in more depth.......

A couple of you sent me pms volunteering to be the test car and I pmed everyone back, but so far I haven't received any definites for a test fit, so we're kinda dead in the water at the moment untill someone gets back to me. Again whoever does the test fit will need to leave their car at the shop for a day max, the only thing I can offer in return is a thanks and 1st on the list for DPs. I'll be in and out of town for the remainder of this week, but I should have internet access. I'm gonna call GTF tomorrow and make sure we're still all setup for the test fit and such. Thanks to everyone who has responded, if you're name isnt on the GB and you want it to be pm me.

Glowmonkey- I'd be in if this bolts to the stock cats... I think that's what has been said, can anyone clarify?

i believe that we have some confusion here. if you can please clear this up, i would be willing to commit to buy. i think that the terminology that is being used is what is confusing.

the way that most people describe our exhaust, (not whether the terms are correct or not) is that we have an S-pipe that comes off the turbo and connects the downpipe, the downpipe connects to the cat section, the cat section connects to the mid-pipe, and the mid-pipe connects to the axle-back muffler section.

can you tell us please, which of these sections this is going to replace? thanks

I'm still lost on where this pipe will end. I know it starts directly at the turbo. But all the info on where it will end is confusing.

That sounds promising. If so, I'm down.

sorry if i was a bit uptight there about the whole downpipe thing, but i was starting to feel dsmconvert's frustration on this

For the record, this is how the exhaust has been described by ion and others.

Down-pipe (aka S-pipe)
Mid-pipe (aka cat-delete pipe)
Cat back (replaces from cat to axle back part, which includes the resonator).
Axle back part. Just has the muffler and 1.5ft of pipe.

Maybe we should make a wall paper of this description.

ok since words are getting mixed up heres the deal on what the DP will replace. The DP will start at the turbo and end at the spring bolts flange circled in red on the nice CS pic attached. It will for a fact replace the s-pipe(another CS pic borrowed). So to sum it up it will start directly off hte turbo(lefthand side of the s-pipe pic) and end at the red circle. This means that it will fit any exhaust system out there and will leave the stock cats if you desire. Whew I think I finally answered all the question with just 2 pics...man i guess I should of though of this earlier. Any other questions?
