The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

put a bid on a HUD home, don't think we'll get it but you never know. We find out either Friday or Monday

The real camera takes so much better pics than the droid.

GL with the house Nate! And Pablo, that post of yours list multiple good reasons on why NOT to move back.

Stopped at Firestone and had a chance to talk to the tech. He was very appreciative on getting his vise grips back and said he was going crazy looking for them yesterday. Told me he had them on the tie rod to keep it from moving as he was going from side to side to adjust the front. After leaving I stopped at Sears to get a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter since I broke mine trying to get the damn OEM bolts off.

I'm stuck waiting for my Garmin to update the maps, so I went to youtube... holy s***... If the video playback is actually 1X, damn... this is stupid fast...

Good morning all. Seriously thinking about applying for an engineering position with NASCAR. Not really my field but looks interesting.

DO IT!

That EVO is not only fast, but it also has some crazy grip.

Anyone else having a great morning like me? Just got my taxes back and I got FUUUUUUUUUCKED! No new car for me this year. :*-( Apparently I wasn't withholding enough last year.

Anyone else have to owe?

I haven't got mine back yet but I'm sure I will, last year was the first year I got money back.

Really? I've gotten refunds the last four years in a row. I feel bad for Megan. This is the first time she's ever had to pay.

I owe the city of akron a ton of $. Work doesnt take out city taxes since I'm all over the place, and i never realized it until i got my W2. Gonna have to start paying the taxes quarterly or something so i dont have to come up with a lump sum every year

I do that with Parma, pay quarterly when they send me a bill. I have to pay a little more this time of the year, but it's because it includes the first quarter and a little extra because I had a raise that wasn't taken into account in their estimate.

I got ****** 3 years ago after I got divorced (at the very end of the year), changed my deductions after that and always get a refund.

I hardley have anything withheld. I'd rather have the money now than wait for it later and try to plan around that. Plus I'll have to pay any taxes that my mom would owe for last year also.

The position is "tire engineer" but the description is kind of neat. It looks like it involves a lot of work with the various tire manufacturers, track conditions, etc. I thought it was neat they explicitly mentioned Grand-Am in the description.

Not only that but it's a little closer to where I grew up and it's back in the "South." 2.5 hours from VIR though.

We haven't even filed our taxes yet. Over the past few years I always end up owing because my employer doesn't withold enough (and I don't change it) and my wife gets money because she witholds too much so it all evens out. We're going to get a fat check this year though with Ian being born in October.
