T3 to T25

Recently bought a header with a T3 flange. Looking to bolt it up to our T25. There is an adapter for the conversion, however, it's 1.5" tall. My concern is, that it's going to push the turbo further down and have fitment issues. I thought about having a T25 plate welded on the header, but later down the road if I decide to put a different turbo, I'd have to have the flange replaced again.

Has anyone used an adapter for T3 to T25? T3T25.webp

I haven't took pics myself yet, but these are the ones from his post. Should be sufficient.

I have the same OBX manifold and I too was trying to figure the same thing out. I went from a t3 to a t25 flanged gt2860rs. I bought the expensive one that has a taper and this one is 3/4'' thick. I ended up hacking the flange off the manifold and welding a t25 flange on which i must say was a PITA!!!!!!!! Repeat...Pain In The A$$. The stainless flange can not even be cut with a torch. After lots of time and mocking up I got it all to work out though. But anyways I have an extra engine in my basement along with another obx manifold since I bought a new manifold to do the hacking on. So I can see what it looks like again for clearance with the adapter.

Yea it might be better for you to just get a T3 Turbo. with a new downpipe and stainless steel lines, you should be good to go.
Better doing it once with a bit more money than twice knowing you want to get a T3 turbo anyways.

Well, looks like the manifold isn't cracked.... yet. Apparently, some of the studs broke and a nut fell off.

Would anyone happen to know the sizes of the manifold studs and nuts?
