Hey guys

I have a question, Can Fibre glass be repaired? I have the dgmotorsports lip and I scrapped it a couple of times over the summer and have little cracks underneath nothing too serious but I was wondering if a body shop can fix this or will I have to buy another lip?

Thanks alot

i am not completely sure, but, fiberglass is cloth-like until you add resin. it seems as though you could add some more resin to fill the gaps or cracks. the resin and fiber glass are then sandable. you just have to keep the fraying under control. it could be repaired if it is not damaged too bad. you could then have it painted. bondo always works well too.

YES you can repair fiberglass........after all....Vettes get in wrecks all the time right?

seeing as how you said you SCRAPPED it up a bit....I will assume the damage is on the bottom for the most part....so repairing it will be a lot easier if you remove the lip.

for the scratches, useing a filler such as bondo is what you want to do

Bondo even makes a product called "GORILLA HAIR" ... which is regular bondo with fiberglass fibers in it to help hold things together.
