PDA Dyno!

It says it won't work on the 6 or the RX-8, but doesn't say anything about the Protege's...Hmmm...

it's like a g-tech pro meter right? or a pda version of the dyno program for the pc that i keep seeing at o'reilly

this you hook your pda on while in the car and it records stats and i think it gives you real time stats, i think it would be sweet if it worked on our cars

you guys are missing the point, its not a Gtech unit.
its an OBD II scantool

ask LinkuxRacr he has one.

True. Linux's reads all kinds of sensors & has pages of displays. The G-Tech is just a 0-60 kinda deal. No real car specific information.

this is a datalogger too, which is really the reason one would buy that. it lets you see values of the engine so you can monitor many things while tuning and record them so after you are done you can go back and analyze the data to address weaknesses and see what was going on. the dyno feature is only going to be so accurate just like the gtech, but the monitoring tools are the most important. email them and see if they know if it will work or not, dataloggers are good things to have while tuning.

s*** man you can get a palm IIIxe on ebay realy cheap, i have one but the display got cracked like 2 days ago shity timing huh?

Ok i just emailed them asking if it will work with the speeds. cant wait to here what they say

i have an old m100 that can be used with many of these dataloggers, i got it for like $40 with a bunch of software and cables from ebay. i was going to use it for datalogging in my laser, but i never got that far. you don't need a great pda obviously :)

See this thread for my experiences with the Nology PDA Dyno:

It does work on the MSP. I know from personal experience.

Linux, you said there is an OBDII connector under the hood, where is that at? top right side when facing the car? the one that says DIAGNOSTIC on it? i looked and it didnt seem to be an OBDII connection.

i have mine always connected to the one in the cabin, but it looks kinda ghetto, you can always see the connector there. im wondering if i could run the cable through the firewall and tap into that one, if it is in fact OBDII

crud does anyone know if this would work on an E-125 Cassiopeia? I would get one right now if it did.
