Good luck.
I have had many new parts put on mine, as she is a trouble car, but ALL of them need at least OMPs, because the original design doesn't give enough oil for the seal to maintain proper lubrication. My motor had extremely low compression at the 19,000 miles.
A hint from a friend of mine with a 2004 with 72,000 miles: his overheats occasionally too, and he had to have the clutch replaced just out of the 50,000 mile warranty (we think due to the throwout bearing which was making a chirping/squeaking sound when in N and the clutch pedal was out while running). His engine is also making a horrid clanging sound when it gets hot too. I think he's going to need a new motor very soon, which sucks cuz the warranty is bye-bye and a new motor (even if put in at 49,000 miles) will still be out of warranty at 50,000 with the whole car.
Also, I have found out from people in Las Vegas (another really hot dry climate) that the 8s over there are having massive overheating problems too. Mine overheats regularly on 95 deg + days. It's going to eventually kill the motor too. (notcool)
