Go bronze!
ya!
Yo!

So... I may be getting my P5 back. IF I do, I'm gonna have some fun with it. I'm thinking spray painted flat black, slam it to the ground, red steel wheels, and go rat rod with it. Just for s****. Why not? It's a piece of junk now anyway.
do it! i was thinking of painting my steelies bright orange...my son dad, you've lost it!
Took the day off and played golf with my brother and some friends. Had a great guy day.
cool! i played for the first time this yr on tues...not so good...didn't break 100 :(
i'm gonna try. Been working crazy hours including sat and sun i barely have time to sleep :(
tell the boss now your off that weekend! ;)
Wish you luck in keeping her on the road for another 3 winters...shouldn't be too hard though with her limited use. I'm hoping mine will last at least three more years while my daughter finishes out high school....great first car for her - slow, already broken in (knicks, dings, hail dents), reliable (to date), slow, I'm sure some of her friends (those with testosterone...lol) will be envious that it's lowered, has an intake, aftermarket exhaust, etc and did I mention slow? haha
i think i can as long as nothing to major happens...rust i can repair...good enough for our annual inspection (although i know the boys at the shop)

Damn Sean, was hoping you'd be closer to being cleared but these things do take time. Def. don't rush anything though or you'll end up worse off. Sounds like you still have quite a bit of time in PT ahead of you. :( Unless the therapist is cute, of course. lol

lol at your son Mahk! My wife and kids said the same thing when I painted mine blue last year. And always good to know the boys at the shop. I know the boys at my shop too which is nice because I know they will be honest with me but they typically run everything by the book.

Went to Canobie Lake Park for the first time in a decade today. The new coaster "Untamed" is sweet! It isn't as epic as some of the stuff you ride down in Florida but it packs a good punch in a small footprint. The first drop has a negative pitch that will psych you out but really isn't that bad to ride. The wooden Yankee Cannonball is still fun but the Yellow Corkscrew has seen better days. It is a very rough ride and I will likely never ride it again. There's lots of other new stuff here and there too but those are the big attractions unless you want to get wet. At $33 for an adult, it's not a bad take once every few years.

Weekend with the whole family, mom's birthday.

Finally got the passenger rocker back on. Now to get the scratches buffed out.

enjoy bruce.....we've got two weeks on the house sale...the last i heard the folks buying our house had some interest, but no offers :(
they dropped the price another 10K...maybe that will stir a offer! we'll see. off to help watch my son and son and law dig a hole for his pool...

Hey pretty quiet weekend.

Got back late yesterday. Nice weekend with my parents. Did some tubing which was a blast.

Happy Monday all.

happy mon back at you! hi all, looks like a nice strech of warm but dry weather ahead....beautiful top down days! ;)
looking ahead to LRP next month, can't wait! i'm hoping i can take everyone out to dinner because i sold the house! ;)

My staycation is over. I had fun though. Replaced my brakes, replaced the caps on a tube radio, put 42 miles on the mountain bike, went to the beach, hiked Mt. Kearsarge, and went to Canobie Lake Park.

Nice! Sounds like a good one to me.

Drove the Bavaria all weekend. I found a couple things I need to fix if I plan to bring it to LRP. The more I drive it, the more I trust it.

Same goes for the REPU. Only thing I'm worried about is the high beams and driving in the rain. I hope to bring it to LRP but if the weekend is going to be a washout I might just leave it at home.

Are there special tickets we need to purchase for LRP?

I'm the opposite about the rain. I know the Bav does very well in the rain, and since it was a daily driver in New Orleans, it's seen its share of s***. For some reason my high beams aren't working. Probably something dumb like a corroded terminal.

Mine work...but the low beams don't shut off, and that causes the wiring harness to get very hot and after about a minute the 30a fuse pops. I don't know if they're supposed to shut off, or if the high beam bulbs are just higher wattage than the originals. Whatever the case, it is too much juice for the wiring. At some point I'd like to upgrade to a 80-100a internally-regulated alternator and upgrade all the wiring and fuse box...but until I have a need for the extra power (radio, towing, etc) I think I can live without the high beams.

Speaking of towing. I've been toying with getting a vintage travel trailer. Only issue is that the REPU was only rated for 1,500lbs and most small travel trailers are at least 2,500-3,500 once loaded with camping gear. There's obviously a lot that goes into a vehicle's tow rating so I've been investigating the ratings of modern trucks and what they have that allows them to tow more. Most things can be easily addressed but from what I've read, a 3,500lb rating requires about 200hp at the crank, something I probably won't achieve without a turbo. Maybe I could get by without the power though by driving a little slower. I don't know...its just something I've been thinking about.

Alright, the P5 is getting picked up in CA within a few days. ETA still by 9/1. Very excited. Turns out it has ABS & side air.. one less part to buy and one less installation step for the LSD install.

So far, goodies received:

* MSP LSD welded by PG (new) w/ bearings and lock nuts
* Tokico Illuminas w/ Tokico springs (ILK248) (on sale for $457 shipped!)
* B&M short shifter
* TWM shift knob adapter to install my delrin TWM shift knob

Looking at the shopping list and debating whether I *really* want to do the Fidanza flywheel. It's $304. I did love it in the last P5. Will likely do it.

Congrats on the house Mark, when is the closing date?? Where will you live for now?

Congrats Oleg on the P5, I liked the Fidenza flywheel.

Worked on the 05 Focus tonight, balanced and rotated the tires and did an oil change. Planning on selling the car cheap to my daughter. The 04 Focus goes in tomorrow to replace the leaking AC compressor with a good used one.
