Well I finally got around to taking a few pics of my engine to post. The first pciture is of the engine when I first bought it, the second and third are pics of what it looks like now.

yeah, you can see my firewall through it but I dont think the picture shows it well. I need new block, oil pan, and the it smashed a pipe coming from my turbo.

I saw on your CarDomain page this happened while driving home? Did you have all the mods on the car when you got it? Did the rod go on the freeway or what? Catastrophic failure here....

Did you win the lottery or rob a bank? I blew my tranny almost a year ago, what is the upgrade your doing, GTX tranny? I just got my J&S in last weekend and don't plan on more than 10psi which is where I am right now.

Oh god damn, that looks like my sb350 I blew in my old z28. It let go at about 5500 rpms in 3rd. I was MOVIN!!! The only differance is my block had 3 holes like that.

I bought the car knowing it had a few issues such as the exhaust leak at the manifold from broken bolts and also and exhaust leak from a crack on the downpipe. So with these noises I had no chance of hearing the engine noises if it was making any. The previous owner had been running the car very close to 1 bar (13.5-14psi) and knowing this to be high I turned it down to 6psi before driving it home. About 3 blocks from my house I threw the rod while boosting a little right after I shifted to 2nd gear. I quickly turned the engine off and coasted home. It was the worst noise you could ever imagine, sounded like the engine literally exploded and pieces flying everywhere with smoke and such.
