I have thought alot about getting the MAM block but I think that I'm going to have a shop do it here. I would love to have the MAM block but I live a good distance from them and that makes it hard for me to go ahead with them. Any advice would be nice. I'm not sure when I'm going to be ready to have it built since I plan on doing everything all at once. On that note, my friend just bought an 04 STI with a few mods this weekend and I got to drive it a bunch and now I'm thinking about putting a stock engine back in the MSP and sell it to buy an STI. I probably won't cuz of the payments and insurance.
Update! I got the motor out and took some pics. Now you can really see the damage done. I made a big mess dropping the oil pan trying to remove the contents before I took the engine out so that is why there is cat litter everywhere. Also, I dropped the engine out using just my body strength because of lack of tools, but it's not that heavy anyways. The transmission is next.
MAM block, AEM EMS, fuel support mods, new baffled oilpan, PnP head, upgraded tranny, new clutch and flywheel. And whatever else I need. I have a whole list of things I need done but those will give you an idea. I'm shooting for 300-350whp at least. Whatever number will get me into the low 12's and maybe 11's. Once it's back together and broke in I will see what else I need to meet my goal. I am taking every precaution I can to make sure I will not see another hole in my block!!
