I've visited these forums many times over the years, but this is my first time posting. I have a 1997 Mazda Protege LX that is much, much loved by me—it was my first car when I turned 16 and it's been my car to drive ever since, and seen me through a lot. I take good care of it and intend to keep it as long as I possibly can, totally willing to give it whatever it needs. Driving my car feels perfect to me.
Long story short, I met a new neighbor this week because she accidentally backed into my car as it sat in our alley. Damage to the passenger-side front corner, and most especially to the right front turn light, and some minor body damage. I took it to the shop and they gave me an estimate, but said that they didn't know where to find the park/turn/side light assembly itself, since Mazda has discontinued it and they didn't immediately see one available on eBay, so they weren't sure if they would be able to fix it.
I am heartbroken to have my car unfixable, and while I've always loved it and cared for it, I know that I'm sorely lacking in actually knowing how to approach finding a solution to this. I really want to find a replacement for the light so the shop can fix it, but I don't know where to go or even which places are reliable. (I'd found the part listed for sale on mazdawholesaleoemparts, tascaparts, mazda-stuff, and so forth, but the shop tells me they are all fake sites, which is not surprising given they all look like they are drawing from the same source.)
The part is the Passenger-side front park/turn/side light assembly

Is there anyone on here that can help, or can point me in the right direction? I would appreciate it so much! This car is so important to me, and I just don't know where to start trying to find a solution.
Thank you!
Stephanie
