Updated list in the first post.

To those of you that are having stalling or surging problems with the BOV/BPV setup, feel free to get in touch with me and I will try to help you get it running perfect.

Common solutions that have helped other people:

Give your valves a clean vac source from the brake booster line.
Adjust the valves (if possible) and test how the car performs at different settings.

1) Greddy type RS BOV, on turbohoses hardpipes
2) Dual with stock BPV
3) dips a little but no stall
4) no turkey more of a CHIRP
5) Injen intake
6) no sound clip

forge bov
open
stock box, hacked(don't do it), green drop in
stalled once in 4 months at standstill
sorry no sound clip
still some turkey at part throttle

1) HKS SSQV BOV
2) Venting
3) stalling and surge
4) Injen CAI
5) turky at low rpm's

Can any one help me get around the stalling and surge plus the BOV is opening to soon.

Here are some pics. Notice there is not adjustment on the top of the BOV this I hear is the new style HKS BOV

Well, you are running open vent by itself on that new style of SSQV (which sucks from everything I have seen about it so far), so that is your stalling problem for sure. Most likely your surging problem too.

Try to locate a older HKS that can be adjusted and swap yours... I still don't understand why on earth HKS decided to do this new style, makes no sense to me at all.

so it looks like dual with stocker is an excellent setup....what I was planning on anyways. You mention the SSQv is a crappy bov? I know I can see what ones people went with in their posts here but which one is better than another?

No no, the SSQV is a GREAT valve, but the new version of it that isn't adjustable is crappy. A lot of people like the Greddy Type-S as well, seems to be solid.

Have you tried removing the black piece at the back of the BOV like I suggested? I bet it just covers the adjustment screw. I would try to pry it off somehow. if it doesn't easily come off I would unscrew the entire back and see if the adjustment screw is underneath. I mean, what have you got to lose, the valve doesn't work properly the way it is now right? Just use a Digicam so you can remember how to put it back together properly.

I guess it's possible that the new valve is non adjustable, but it doesn't say anything like that on HKS's USA or Japan site. All the diagrams show adjustable valves. Why would they cheap out on their #1 selling BOV? Just seems like an obvious no-brainer to me.
