Mazda, warranty, how to get them to fix windshield

Ok, my windshield is cracked on both sides from the a-piller, in basically the exact same spot and the cracks looks the same. Mazda won't warranty it because it's a "rock chip". On the driver side, there is NO rock chip evident, but there is a split in the crack right near the A-piller. Mazda says that is where the rock chip is, because a stress fracture wouldn't have split into 2 cracks. On the passenger side, there is a small chip on the center of the crack, but 2-3 inches out from the a piller, crack goes from a-piller through chip and then continues. I have some small chips here and there, it's a windshield, duh, that is common.

I don't understand how Mazda just passes it off. I called Mazda usa and they won't do anything, at least the guy i talked to. He called the Dealer, the girl who looked at my car today was the regional rep and she has "final say".

What are my options? I think this is BS and they are just passing me off.

Unfortunately, it's up to the dealership. Mine stress cracked twice and was replaced twice. The first time it cracked though, I took it to one dealership and he told me it was because of a rock chip (which was total bs because I actually saw it crack when I went over a speed bump), so I just took it to another dealership, and they replaced it.

Yep, sorry, but if there is a rock chip, you're out of luck. They're not passing you off, it's just that although there may be another stress crack on the other side, they will say the rock-chip crack caused the other stress crack. No big deal, it's not that much to get replaced.

just crack the winsheild with a bat or rock or something then call your insurance company, theyll replace it for free!

Oh, ok, I thought people were just being dense.
Here in Quebec it counts as a claim. Funny thing is, after 3 claims in a given period (a year perhaps), at fault or not, most insurance co's here will increase you, around 500$.
So here in QC, if you've filed a claim in the past year (some idiot rear-ended you, someone hit your car while parked, etc...) and you claim your winshield under the insurance, and then by some bad luck you have to claim again for whatever reason, your ins will cost you 500$ more next year. Which is total BS.
So even if Mazda sez "your ins will pay for it" they can kiss my italian ass, my winshield crack is 10" long no chip to be seen anywhere, it's a stress crack, they better fix it.

mine stress cracked as well, very obvious to me, but they claim they found some spot where a rock hit it, whatever... here in MN insurance covers it without so much as a picture, and it doesn't count as a claim.
