im sorry...none of the settings do anything. when i turn it on it has a 1 or something. then i put the red in the blue wire and the black on the neg terminal and nothing happens. on ANY of the settings.

also, now the black/wht is disconnected from pink/blue and im still running uber rich. ****.
I will sleep on this, let you know tomorrow.

thanks. real quick, why is the car smoking out the exhaust? is that just condensation or something? hard to tell if white or whatever...or is it because of the rich condition

I know this may sound stupid, put your hand in fron, let some go on your hand and smell it.

Could be condensation, put your hand at the end of the pipe and let it get wet then smell it, but don't taste it! ;)

edit----DAMN that Focus!! Beat me to it.

You could taste it too, you might not like it!

cruising fixed itself and the idle is still reading --- but s*** isnt flowing out the exhaust. i think the ecu needed some time to recover from the grounding.

i took it for a spin, that ******* thing hauls ass when it runs right. this mustang was behind me giving me a hard time to i downshifted and took off ("---") and he couldnt keep up.

im sure tommorrow it will be ****** up again though.

i couldnt really smell anything when it was on my finger.

tommorrow i will let everyone know the results of the new wire. what the hell could it be if not that?

It was probab;y just water then.

i was talking about what happens if its not that wire...like what if i still get 0v with a new wire...

Stop smelling your finger (blarf)

Let us know what happens today!

hey im working from like 0400 until 1530 cut me some slack..i have to do some things around the apt then i will run the line. i think it has something to do with that line for sure, now im getting .04v at idle, which is more than i was ever getting since having the problem. hopefully i will get this fixed tonight, though i probably wont know for sure tonight -

the car is running great like it did the FIRST time i disconnected that one wire, but im sure it will go back to being bad...so it may take a while to figure if it is fixed for sure or not. IF this fixes it.

here we go. i wired the setup with the wire going straight from the o2 to the clamp, and through the clamp to the PCM. i am still getting a 0v reading from that line. see the diagram for the way my s*** is wired and where i am testing etc.

has anyone figured out what the fuse is i mentioned? i forgot to pick a fuse up at the auto parts store...

Try putting the new blue straight to Pin 60 on the ECU with no clamp.
