2006 MazdaSpeed 6
Hey guys I just purchased my first Car at the age of 20 which is a 2006 Mazda speed 6. Color is White Water Pearl mica with White and black leather... sexy :) . I just got the car on Tuesday Jan. 9th 2007. The car had to come from Hampton, Va which is 4 hours from where I am so the car came with 212 miles on it. Currently the car has 418 miles.

This car is awesome. I have never driving a car with AWD and wow is it nice. This car can defiantly pull and I know it has Great potential. It's a nice sporty sedan combined with safety, speed, and luxury. So happy with this car honestly it doesn't seem real. I have to keep checking the drive way just to make sure this is real.

Anyways I am a big fan of forums and from what I have read so far you guys seem very knowledgeable. I know I will learn a lot about Mazdas and cars for that matter and I will do my best to contribute as well.

Thanks,

Orlando

welcome to the forums Orlando. wow what a car to have as your first car. lucky man you are. loads of info on these forums. where you from buddy?

Opps forgot to fill that part out. Im from Alexandria, Va. I c your from Tampa, Fl I was just in Ft. Launderdale and Maimi area for new years gotta love your climate. But For Turbos Gotta love the nice Cold air over here ;)

I test drove one a while back and while I was impressed with the handeling(msp was alot better though) and the overall fit and finish of the car it really lacked in power. I was ddin my 06 wrx at the time and the wrx felt way faster than the m26, however the handeling of my wrx doesnt compare haha......But I was really dissapointed with the power the 6 was making........but congrats on the new car, enjoy!

The WRX may feel quicker than the MS6 but they are almost identical in acceleration. The MS6 is bigger so you get less of a feeling of acceleration then you would in a smaller car. If your WRX is modded then that's another story...

Welcome aboard grab a 'root' beer in the fridge and a slice of pizza. Make sure to post up some pictures.

welcome

man, i wish my first car was my ms6. my first car was a geo metro. 3 cylinder engine, hatchback, i think it had about 80 hp. ha ha! first car i ever got pulled over in for speeding too. the cop seriously laughed at me for speeding in a geo metro and let me go with a warning. they don't laugh anymore (pissed)

lol Nice Story Tx Speed. Well this is acutually not my Frist car. This is my First Car that i've purchased. My old car is a 1995 850 Turbo wagon that my parents gave me to drive around. Then I started to slightly modify it. That G wagon is what got me into the modding and Turbo world.

You probley test drove one with 87 octane gas in it. I have never lost to a WRX going through 4 gears (2002-2006) and as a matter a fact I have pulled a fender on a STI (stock) and beaten also a couple EVO VIII for that matter and my MS6 GT is still a Virgin to any mods but not for long.

My first car was a Ford RS2000 (British Ford Escort)

damn you thabigo, I'm jealous. I'm still working on getting a speed6, mind if I ask how much you payed? GT or sport? any extras? And yes post pics.

Ha! My first car was like the rest of us not so lucky bastards. 1985 Hyundai Excel...making a kick ass 68HP! So glad hard work pays off.

Pics will be coming soon. And sure right now is a good time to negotiate with the dealerships. I love negotiating with those salesmen.

YOU don't get a great deal unless its approved by a sales manager. Just FYI. Mine was a 2006 Mazda Speed 6 Grand Touring with Cargo Net, Aluminum fuel door, moon roof wind deflector (I don't like it but I can always take it off later), Compass/Auto dim mirror (very nice feature), Wheel Locks, power moon roof and White leather ( two tone leather White and black. Very sexy!).

MSRP was $31,790. With all those options total price was $25,200. + Tax, Tags, and processing fee of $100 bucks. (Processing fee varies but its' all BS.) The dealership also ate the Freight charge and it didn't cost me anything extra to have them have to car delivered to the dealership because that car wasn't even there. They have to drive it from another dealership from Hampton, VA which is like 4 hours away. Only thing I lost from that was 212 miles on my car.

All in all a pretty good deal for my first car purchase. I used Mazda for that $1000 rebate you get from them for financing with them and refinanced already with a credit union (best possible place you can get a rate for a car loan from.)

*** EDIT*** Also forgot to mention that the dealership gives me lifetime Va Inspections on my vehicle as well as 2 yrs free oil changes which I found was pretty nice of them.

Thanks,

Orlando
