Help me pick my exhaust system!

OK... so... I know Racing Beat is a great cat-back exhaust. I've also heard Magnaflow's great. What of the Bosal exhaust? I've looked and many post about wanting to know about it, but no one seems to have it installed. Has anyone tried it?

I just got a new job so I'm going to let off some steam by spending moneyz. Priorities include sound first, performance second (since I know they differ by perhaps 2hp).

Thanks in advance for any help. If there's another exhaust I should consider, please post the name, price, and a URL to where I can research it if possible.

I'm also looking to get a hi-flow midpipe to take care of that wonderful 2nd cat. I know MAM makes'em. Does anyone else make them? If so how much and URL (if poss)?

Thanks!

I love my Racing Beat, would not consider anything else. You seem to have done your research, and know what to look for, which is great. Im not familiar with the Bosal though. Hopefully someone will have insight on it for you!

i chose you pikachu.....

i personaly, when money lies around, want the greddy cat back. but i heard that the racing beat is a nice quiet exhuast. out of those listed id say racing beat. but greddy first!

Thanks for the compliment hehe. Before I dump $ in stuff I try to get an idea of what it'll look/sound/feel/taste/smell like hehe.

So far everyone says get the Racing Beat. Do you feel it's worth the extra $100 to go for that? And what is your justification (i.e. have you compared yours to someone else's at a meet)?

I say go with the racing beat. I have it on my car and love it for many reasons. First, you can feel gains with the catback. Second, it sounds great. It has a nice deep tone to it, no droning or ricey sound at all. Third, it looks great on the car, like it was meant to be on there. The outlet isnt too big where it looks like a fart can. I say get it and you won't be dissapointed.

The RB is so quiet on the freeway, even my wife did not mind it. Decent conversations could be made, was not a fart can droning annoyance like the others tend to be. Added a header, and it got a little louder, but I know it could be a lot worse. I am impressed in the quality and workmanship of the exhaust. I have been in email contact with Racing Beat with questions, and got answers the same day, in detail. Very well done.

As for sound. I can take a video of it tomorrow and post it for you to see. It is wicked cool.

how about the OBX 2.5" cat back? i've been looking at that for awhile now. anybody have them?

Ken at ProtegeGarage.com has them. I'd say stay away from that unless you want a tip you can double-fist, incredibly loud noise, and have to either cut away at your stock bumper to allow said super huge tip to fit or do what nrrfrogmanp5 did which is just let the bastard melt away at the bumper.

Not worth it in my opinion :).

Thanks for the opinions guys keep'em comin!

thanks for the warning. where can you buy racingbeat anyways? oh and how about the Corksport one? any good? i know they take both cats but can easily be welded back on right?

magnaflow....is very quiet...i have this and i love it...very quiet...almost as quiet as the greddy and it cost like $200 less.....

so if you want my opinion i would go with the magnaflow.....but the Greddy is very quiet heard it on 2 p5 in person and its sounds so good....u can barely hear it.....'

so if u wanna spend $500...go with the Greddy...but if you wanna spend $300 go with the magnaflow cat-back....

as for the mid-pipe...ill probably pick up the Mam or Wagner mid-pipe in the mext couple of months without the cat....ill let you know of the diff.. if any when i install it

haha I take longer than a day or two usually to decide. I'm most concerned about sound so I'd probably lean towards the RB or magnaflow. But w/midpipe I know that'll probably be loud as hell too. Has anyone tried welding in another resonator? How does that work?

You haven't heard my RB system when we had mazdmeet?
it's really nice deep tone.
but If I have money, I want to try out greddy Sp2.

no but I've heard brian and ken's which are both RB (n/a build, f/i build respectfully)

Why greddy sp2?

1st...I like brand name greddy...:D
2nd... I just want different setup, but I heard sp2 is pretty much same as RB.
