High Mileage CX-5s - report in

Air cabin filters are cheaper, engine air filters are still up there. Even the Mazda online parts places are up there. I bought oil filters last year, ran me about $11. Geeezz
Have you shopped anything else lately? Almost everything goes up by not 5% or 10% , but 50% or 2X! And wait until the tariff goes into fully effect, the price for car parts will be even much higher! 😕

Thats why I buy my air/cabin filters off Amazon for half the price!
But the aftermarket air / cabin filters at Amazon are also more expensive than a couple of years ago!

I have more than 180.000 miles on mine and never serviced the coolant.
The recommended service interval for our FL-22 coolant is:

”Replace at first 192,000 km (120,000 miles) or 10 years; after
that, every 96,000 km (60,000 miles) or 5 years.”

AEM washable filters FTW - young(and naive) me put on one of those "cold air intake" one, when/if that ever fails I'm going back to OEM air box and a square washable one all the way to the end

my '14 AWD just hit 96k - by no means a "high mileage" one but years of northeast US has started to show. never needed to change spark plug/trans fluid, is now the time to start thinking about that?

I definitely would change the spark plugs and the engine FL-22 coolant as both have past due based on Mazda’s maintenance schedule. The same on changing the gear oil in front transfer case and real differential since you have an AWD. Although Mazda doesn’t say, but I’d as least do the ATF drain-and-fill a couple of times or three at 96K miles.
