Disaster!!!!!

what the Autobody shop have to say or let alone Mazda have to say?they'll probly deny it to the end and say it was just by miracle that it happend when the car was being worked on by them...If your that fired up about it make this is legal matter then, get s*** done that way

Well just to give everyone an idea of my situation, I'm a 20 year old college student who just wanted to buy a nice car to mod and have fun with, and I end up getting screwed because the previous owner beat it and I have no way of proving that legally to the dealership I bought it from. I could give a s*** less if Jeff messed it up, that's cool, it happens, but I don't want to be stuck with a $15k non-running car. I can't afford to pay for a car that doesn't run. I believe if I could prove that the car was messed up before I ever touched it, and then have Amy verify that she saw these problems at the dealer and they acknowledged these problems and sold me the car without telling me about them, that the car will either be fixed for free or I will get a new MSP.

They should've given you a 6 month to a year warranty at least. When did you buy this car?

But they said nothing of any warranty what-so-ever? And IF the car was bought at auction, then sold on a car lot by the dealer that bought it, then there should've been some sort of inspection and disclosure or SOMETHING. I know you just want your car to work again and you're a college student that doesn't really have alot of money, but if you can get someone else to cover the cost for something you didn't even DO, then you need to get going on this. Make a BIG STINK at the last place you had it where they may have ruined it. If none of these are options for you, then you're looking at anywhere between $1k and 3K to get the problem fixed. Depending on what the problem actually even is.

The longer you wait to make a decision however, the worse your case for any sort of help from the dealer or whoever it was that messed it up is going to get. Read the contract you signed when you bought the car and also call your bank where your car is financed. Tell them what happened. Sometimes your bank can make a big stink for you. Afterall, it's both yours and their investment.

I bought it from superior hyundai, not an auction dude...

well they bought it from the auction, because my used car manager told me about it. Wanted to know if I wanted to buy it.

That's great, but what does that have to do with my problem besides the Hyundai dealer disclosing the problems from before to me at the time of purchase. I bought an extended first warranty from superior hyundai for the drivetrain and Jeff Wyler mazda said they would not honor the warranty since Jeff apparently messed it up before. I have nothing to do with Jeff, and have nothing to do with beating the hell outta the car (if he even did). So here's the deal...I have a non-working car, I need help with it. I'm actually working on it with a friend of the family so labor costs are going to be my time and his. We're troubleshooting the issues with it (cyl #3 misfire) and doing it ourselves because I don't trust anyone with my car anymore. Long story short, I got ******, I'm trying to unfuck the situation.

when you buy from auction there is no warranty.

This means nothing to me because I didn't get it from an auction. Sorry to be kind of an asshole, but you don't know the whole story on my end. I looked at the carfax and I saw that the car was bought from an auction yeah (superior purchased it from the auction)...but I bought an extended warranty that was supposed to fix any drivetraint problems I experienced. Even though the warranty was technically null and void from the date of purchase anyways because there's aftermarket parts on the car. I have to get that issue resolved too.

After working on it today, it might not even be the turbo that's all messed up. If it is, I'm going to get a new one, but I found oil in the IC pipe going from the turbo to the IC (hot side). I also found that the oil feed line gasket may also be bad. I'm going to do a compression test on monday to try to figure out if there is a loss of compression in that cyl (which I'd assume there is). The potential problems that Mike and I deduced were bad valve seal gasket, bad head gasket, and basically every other gasket in the car.

Does anyone know if Jeff took the mani off at one point or another? I think I found a bolt missing from it. It looks like it's leaking on the passenger side seeing as there are black deposits on that side of the mani on other parts.

That would be pretty cool for sure, but I need to get some kind of statement from Jeff to prove to the deal I purchased the car with a problem.

Contacted him @ myspace today and at his email previously...he didn't respond to anything I sent him yet.

So I got my car back from the dealer today when it was idling very poorly the last time I was up there (about a week ago). I get it home with CEL and all, and ya know, I figure it's okay to drive...WRONG! I drove it up and then down my street after resetting the ECU. I started to see a blinking CEL...bad news begins. I then pull in my driveway and smoke is coming from under the hood...bad news gets worse. I quickly pop the hood and WHAT DO YOU KNOW, A COOKED TURBO! I am so pissed off right now it's ridiculous. I can't believe that when I took my car in to get body work done there were no mechanical problems at all, but then when I get it back from the mazda dealer body shop it's reading 10 VAC? THEN when I get it towed back home finally the turbo is COOKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sl;agh;akldfhg;ahdgkh MOTHER FUJCl;ksheagdhgkahg!!!!!!!!!!

My dealership, although reluctant!!, was helpful on this problem:) My wastegate was shot, boosting 12lbs on my guage when i was running 7lbs stock. The engine was burning oil, rough idle, and sooooo on. They replaced the entire turbo, pcv valve, egr, plug wires, plugs, coolant, oil change and bushing etc while it was at the dealership all on warranty(omg). 36,000kms with a bill that ran jus under 5000$ from the dealership. If they will replace all stock parts under warranty then do it. If they wont, its time for a gt28rs! The dealership price on the t25 was 1800 or somthing dumb like that.....weeeeeeeee for Mazda....BOOOOOOOM BOOOOOM warranty club!!!!

Only crappy part being that I am around 69k miles and out of manufacturers warranty. I need to go to a different dealer or get something worked out with the one I went to.

they do if you are still in the warranty window. Also they have the #3 placed mazda tech in NA working for them so they will get your fixed up right haha.
