I can't stop laughing at all the costs associated with owning one. Hopefully they won't void warranties like Nissan is doing with the GT-R!

Driving a Bugatti Veyron is like carrying a 14.6-foot-long open wallet that is spewing 50-dollar bills. Drivers rush up from behind, tailgating before swerving into either of the Veyrons rear-three-quarter blind spots, where they hang ape-like out of windows to snap photos with their cell phones. They wont leave, either, because they know the Bugatti, averaging 11 mpg, cant go far without refueling and that its driver will soon need to take a minute to compose himself. And when you open the Veyrons door to exita gymnastic feat that requires grabbing one of your own ankles to drag it across that huge, hot sillyou will be greeted by 5 to 15 persons wielding cameras and asking questions. If youre wearing shorts or a skirt, heres a tip: Wear underwear.

Well, you have to put those costs into perspective. $25K in tires for the Veyron is is like $530 in tires for a $36K Subaru Impreza STI. Both are just 1.47% of the new car price. Seems reasonable when viewed in that context.

PS: There may be no more important safety feature on such a high performance car than the tires.

the car is HILARIOUS. I remember reading the first review of its performance and seriously was laughing hysterically. This car redifines supercar because its so over the top.

if u can afford a 1.5 million dollar car, i think u can afford to maintain it...

I think it was top gear where they made the claim that it costs over 6 million to make 1 bugatti, and bugatti sells them at a loss.

fact or fiction?

regardless, the car is god to all other cars. They should have named it Zeus.

i doubt they lose 5 mil per car..... maybe the r&d for the car cost 6 mil, but to make it only 500k

Couldn't say it better...and if try to compare a Nissan GT-R to a Veyron, you are missing something very important....

Bugatti didn't make the Veyron for profit, it was purely a statement...which is what you are making if you purchase and drive one...Plus these things are an "investment"...they will be worth FAR more in the future...Just look at the Enzo...It is worth something like 1.4 million and origionally marked at like $650K...or something...and every time one wrecks...the price goes up about 150K...

i agree with you totally, but one thing i remember with the Enzo was that is was basically never found at msrp

Please don't rant on warranties...it's been done.

Once you modify a car beyond the factory specs, you should assume the warranty is gone...poof!

I thought with Enzos that Ferrari called preselected individuals to purchase them. I didnt think they actually sold any via dealerships.

i think they were sold through dealerships, but the thing was, you had to have owned a ferrari before they sold you and enzo
