Another turbo P5 thread...

Started pulling the turbo, I had to drain the coolant so I can remove the hose and take the assembly out. I found my problem though. Wastegates probably work better if the actuator arm is actually hooked to something, right? The snap ring must have came loose and the arm wiggled off.

Any one know what size snap ring that is?

The right size is in the variety pack from Auto Zone I believe.

I got the little pack but I hate these e-clips. I'm tempted to JB Weld it on there.

LOL yea....I heard they were a pain to install with the turbo on the car. Need a good set of needle nose.

IT BOOSTS AGAIN! ha ha!

Now I just need to tune it 'cuz it still runs real rich. Feels pretty good though :D My poor crappy 195 Kumho ASXs scream if I'm on it, especially during any sort of cornering :)

haha good idea, I do need to video tape it before I get my exhaust on. It actually isn't THAT loud and sounds pretty sweet (drinks) Exhaust exiting at firewall probably isn't healthy. At least since there is no A/C I always have my windows down lol

I put my bumper on, DG lip, and DG Grille. The bumper need a little trimming but fits ok now. The stock grille wouldn't fit 'cuz of the tabs hitting the intercooler. I'll have to make something since my intercooler will become a big, expensive bug paper. Lately when I'm driving into work at 4:30am, it is like cutting through the plague. You get at least a dozen sticky icky bug juices on your windshield. so much for having a clean car!

Unfortunately I found an oil leak, yay :[ This time it was from the male union on the oil pan. I just slapped some black RTV around the edges, hopefully that will fix that up. Of course this means I have to delay tuning another day.

Thanks guys, and thanks for all the help.

I got my GHL exhaust on now and it looks and sounds great. The open downpipe droned a little much on the interstate, haha (trip to autox was like 2 hrs each way).

HEY, I like that!!! Its like a road trip on a Harley, but better!

They do trips and feel the freedom with their noises...

I feel that way too.
