I am still CBE searching and ya...still know it isn't a giant gain. I will do the DP and MP later on when the car has more miles and I have decided to keep it for 5 years or just a few. I like the price of the corksport to be honest but have no idea what it sounds like by itslef. I could only find clips of the entire TBE. Right now I am 90% on a TurboXS cat back. Just need to hear or be told the corksport is better or worse or what ever.........

I am in the same boat aswell, so far no one has come forward with any info on just the stock CBE. The price is really good, but I wonder if I am buying crap?

Sounds very nice. I have just the Corksport and the CP-e CAI. It gives it a nice, deep tone. Nothing ricey at all. Very smooth sound all the way through the power band. At start up it has a very nifty little bark to it. My buddy who helped my put it on commented that it almost, not quite but almost, sounds like a Subaru with its burble.

How is the build quality Sierra? Is it noticably louder than stock or is it just a tad louder?

The Corksport Catback was my first Mod.
Sierra117 pretty much summed it up well.
Good quality Stainless, fits up perfect, is notably louder then stock but not overwhelming.
I immediately felt an increase in low end throttle response.

Downpipe costs less and yields significantly more power. Of course it may also be illegal in your part of the country, so check into that first. Bottom line, if you want power, your first exhaust mod is the downpipe. Remove that restriction right after the turbo and give the exhaust gasses some room to expand. If you are only looking for a tougher sound, then any quality CBE will serve the purpose nicely.

Build quality was excellent. The only snag I had when installing it came from OEM parts, not the exhaust. It is louder, but its not like running an open DP loud. And it does a graet job controlling the tone. I'll try to get some sound clips of it. I was going to get some when I did the install, but after getting the video of running an open mid pipe, I left my camera on, and the battery died.

Thanks for all of the info guys, it is really helpful! Do you happen to know if out of all the CBE exhaust which version sounds the most aggressive?

CPE sounds the most aggressive to me... but i dont like the fact thats its only aluminized steel and costs more than some stainless setups.

I wonder why Corksports is so much cheaper than the rest? Their full TBE is like 800 + 50 shipping on their site

Yes, I did see that. I just wonder why with the cost of the Corksport exhaust why wont more people buy them? I would have thought that it would be the more popular option due to its low price and good fit?

Is there a quality issue or something else not widely touched on? It is over 3" in diameter and it is stainless steel that alone should be the winner. I am almost ready to push the trigger but just wish I had a little more feedback.

So far I have had zero issues. I think they are able to keep the prices low because they don't have a ton of other costs. It would be nice to have them hop on the board and give us the good word.
