Reconditioned Rotors

Bought a used 2019 Mazda CX-5 and had to turn it in for a brake job. They said they just needed to recondition the brakes/rear rotors. We picked up the Mazda the next day and found shaking or vibrations every time we applied the brakes, so we turned the Mazda back in again and now they say we have to get new rotors??

Maybe you need another shop to do your work on the car. 🤷🏼‍♂️
Recondition?
No.
Just replace with new and new pads and you're done.
Grease the caliper pins to keep from the shakes and shudders you're experiencing.

Good luck.

Find a good auto shop that would do the job with parts you bring in. Then use RockAuto, we are talking about 1/3 price of Auto zone etc here.

Sometimes when a rotor is turned, and if the wheel lugnuts aren't carefully torqued by hand when the wheels are put back on the car, the rotors will warp.

Replacement is the only option - and hand 'torquing the lug nuts each and every time the wheels are installed is a pretty critical habit. Even new or unturned rotors can be warped by incorrect lug nut torque.
