also just picked up the EGR pipe for my 626 mani that is starting to look proper for my engine bay
....wife does not want to learn how to drive a manual trans which I always tell her it's easy and fun to drive....so abt the hearders...any BRAND that would work without any CEL issues. also plan to change the pipes after the cat to match my existing mazdaspeed rear exhaust. Thank you guys in advance for any input you can provide...want to get the right stuff from the start since I don't have enough $$$ utilize if something goes wrong.

they will give you a cell. because you are removing the primary cat. easy fix tho you just need to get a non fouler trick and it takes the cell off

Then that cat has a burnt out check engine light. Any aftermarket header (singular, unless you have a V6 swap) will throw a CEL since you are deleted the pre-cat. With the simple non-fouler trick you're good to go without a CEL. I'm in Ohio so I'm not sure what kind of inspections AZ has but I passed the emissions check both times with a header and non-fouler in two different P5's, no worries. Hope that helps, mate.![]()
