What have you done to your P5 today?

whenever your welding the panels, you have to make sure the metal is clean. Also do spot welds, dont try to run a bead because all you'll do is burn through.
Just do little spots all the way around the panel, try to go across the panel in a star pattern so you dont heat up one area too much and warp it...not that it really matters for what your doing, but a good habit to get into when welding in panels.

Thanks for the advice, I had to learn that the hard way :)

Surprisingly the welds I've done seem to be pretty strong, I can hit the panels with a hammer and the welds don't break. If you have any other tips please feel free to share them, this is all very new to me.

I don't have fog deletes. Pointless IMO. I'm using the space for an intake duct. Never understood the purpose of fake vents

the deletes for your lip still let the air flow through them, allowing them to be used as an intake duct and look complete on the car IMO

IMO the stock fog lights are useless so I got the deletes (though in the stock P5 bumper) and I like the cleaner look without those big, silly WRC-wannabe fog lights. I'm going to open up the drivers side delete for and air intake or both of them for brake cooling once the car is dedicated to track duties and summer cruises.

Tougefox, do you have any pics of your air intake set up?

I got mine from OnlineMazdaParts.com. There used to be a link to them but I can't find it now. You can email him directly and he'll hook you up. They were about $50 shipped.

Msp bumper, lip, and fog deletes are not hard to find, you just have to be willing to pay for them. You can order them whenever you want from a Mazda dealer. Lip alone is 355, but all brand new.
