What have you done to your P5 today?

to anybody running sedan headlights, what did you use for the turnsignal on the outsides of the lights?

I got the bulb, i do not have the adapter/plug that goes into the turnsignal

Go look at the sedan. Does it have the same connector going into it that is on teh Pro5 bumper marker?

and....my employer was not able to relocate our house inside the building for me....so i'm not near it at the moment.... :p

Or a Miata...which revs to 8...lol.

Yeah... except no. Stock is somewhere b/w 7000 and 7400 depending on the year. (my 92 is 7250). The tachs on the early cars are really slow (or fast I guess). It'll indicate some retarded RPM (near 8 grand) but it's not what it's doing. An accurate tach proves tihs.

Ty, I'd be willing to believe it's the same plug. It'd be rather dumb for Mazda to make different wiring harnesses, simply based on a different turnsignal, but I don't know for sure.

hmm...then looks like i will just black out tint the bumper light since it won't be used

Or, see if the body shop would be willing to fill it in and repaint the bumper too, so no more bumper light

getting it quoted tomorrow, as well as repaint the bumper and delete the bumper marker

Actually if you changed every offset figure in this post to a "+" number, it would be correct! (headbang)

A spacer will lower your effective offset, making it +35, which will be even less suitable.

There is no easy way to increase offset without machining.

IIRC the factory offset is +50, the lower the offset moves the wheel out toward the fender, this is loading up the bearings and can cause premature wear. Don't know about Mazda, but Subaru would not warranty wheel bearings that had failed because a lower offset rim was used on the car. Incidently I realise that most P5s are out of warranty by now but this would apply to newer cars like the M6 and M3.

Pat.
