What have you done to your P5 today?

ic. Well I dontthink my ssafc is even functioning. I hook it up to the laptop and nothing. I need to probe the hot wire to see if it's getting power. So I guess I'm running turbo on a stock p5 ecu. Atleast it sees boost and goes rich.

Now if it is broken what should I get? Another ssafc or the one with timing control? Or the AEM one? I'm thinking ssafc again the one without the timing.

Anyone wanna buy a Microtech LT8s Sequential Fire ver1 ecu? I'm willing to trade for a ssafc with timing control

Got a 626 intake manifold for the P5 today. Hopefully it will be in a week or so. I am going to powdercoat it a gloss black and maybe even get it extrude honed, and gasket matched

Yes, I think that is a legitimate reason to take it in, especially if this happens at 1/4 throttle or so. It can actually be dangerous if you have to get moving quickly.

Yeah, Id hate to pull out into traffic and need to get going only to have it rev in neutral :(

jeg....could be the tranny slippin on you man. i had an auto before the p5 and that is what started to happen to me. told me the clutch plate on the auto was going causing the tranny to slip between gears. if you go get it checked out let them figure it out before you offer any possible diagnosis. hope i am wrong though

so after driving a little bit on the twm i must say i am happy and disappointed. i love the look, height, shorter throws, but i am not too happy with this still notchy feeling from gear to gear. i took it apart and added more grease to the ball. is this common? should i change the fluid? is it difficult to do my own flush? and i have some amsoil tranny fluid from a project of mine a few years back, could i use this on the proty?

Are you making sure you're actually connecting to the ECU and not just plugging in the cable? It seems there's a lot you don't really know about the AFC. Check out one of the AFC install/map threads and you'll learn a lot. Also, stop asking for maps. Chances are, no one out there has a map that will work correctly with your setup so you're going to have to make your own. I started with the supermap and went from there. Because you can't really do that and you say your current map is rich I would just keep that for now and modify it where needed. Which version do you have? If you have a V1 it's going to be very hard to tune...

How long have you had the shifter installed? I've had my TWM for almost three years now and it isn't stiff at all. Make sure you didn't overtighten that lower bolt or else it will make things very stiff. I tightened mine until there was no play in the shifter and left it like that.

On another note my cams and cam gears came in today :D To bad I won't be doing anything with them for a while.

im replacing my headlight bulb once i finally feel like getting up. it been the work week of hell so i dont really feel like moving. or going to work again tonight.

drove home from school yesterday ~160 miles. First real road trip with the intake & headers on the car. The exhaust drone really wasn't that bad with the windows or the radio on you can't even hear it so I'm pretty happy about that.

Good to hear it. That's all Tylor complains about. The damn droning.

I installed new front endlinks yesterday. I am going to try to get the rest of the stubborn bolt out of my AWR standoffs for the rear sway bar, and get all that back together today.

flex plate, autos dont have a clutch plate they have a torque converter and a flex plate

just so you kno

Yesterday swapped out all my interior lights for LEDs minus the trunk cargo light. Also swapped out my license plate lights. I'll have pics up later.

about a week or so. i will loosen the bolt and see. i did intsall the bushings at the same time too. i didnt drive it yesterday but i did today and feels a bit looser, could be in my head though. thanks man. also would a weighted knob do much?

I personally believe that it does help with shifting. It could be one of those things that it's in a person's head but I'm sure someone will have a more technical answer as to the benefits of having a weighted shift knob lol.

Took some videos of the system and drove about a hundred miles at work today...made $180 in tips...couldn't of done it without the P5 though...
